The neglecting of Accept in the Finnish media still continues... >:(And despite of that Accept is one of the most popular metal bands in Finland.

The neglecting of Accept in the Finnish media still continues... >:(And despite of that Accept is one of the most popular metal bands in Finland. It just goes to show that you don't need the media to have success if you have the talent and timeless, quality songs.

In the second biggest newspaper in Finland (Aamulehti) there was an advertisement of the upcoming gigs at Klubi and/or Pakkahuone (practically the same place). These gigs were mentioned in the ad: URIAH HEEP (UK) 27 € Pakkahuone 14.10.2011 Friday AMORPHIS, + support 25 € Pakkahuone 27.10.2011 Thursday JORN (Nor) 22 € Klubi 15.11.2011 Tuesday KVELERTAK, Doom Riders, Trap Them And yes not a slight mentioning about UDO 2.10.2011 even though the band is a lot bigger than JORN or Kvelertak.

I do not know, it does seem that it never stops. Ofcourse it also depends on the gig organizer what to advertise... This is funny, even though there is no publicity for Accept for example, the records sell really well in Finland. And for example in the Finnish 80srocks.net forum people voted Balls To The Wall as the third best 80's rock album. The majority of that forum is teenagers! Well people will always find good music.

maybe it'll be another one of those "secret" u.d.o. gigs that only the band knows about. wouldn't want to advertise!?! someone might show up!

I wrote to the guestbook about this that they should kick their pr department's arses or what ever handles the promotion on the gig front. I also advised them to ask Sister Sin how to organize a tour in the USA:

Yeah, I noticed but I was vague there too. What I meant was that they should ( persons who are responsible) to kick the butt of the people who organize the gigs. I do not know who is that in Finland but UDO management should know that and make sure they do their job. As far as Accept is concerned Live Nation is the one who "keeps the noise". As far as UDO goes, I do not know. And yes I know, I should write this to the guestbook but I am too lazy for that.
