I'm looking forward to more of U.D.O. nowadays. He's always been consistent with his own music, even if I think that Timebomb remains unmatched to this day. Solid through Holy are way better than the earlier albums for me, and he's managed to stay relevant throughout the 2000s and now into the 2010s with more authentic German heavy metal sounds.
Truthfully, I found the last Accept album to be boring, and Mark Tornillo is partly the reason why I just can't get into modern Accept. Stalingrad was cool, but even that one falls by the wayside, compared to even the massively unappreciated Objection Overruled.

i have not been impressed with the last 2 Accept albums either. neither one of them lived up to BOTN at all. i'm trying to think which album i've listened to less, stalingrad or blind rage. probably stalingrad. these just nothing on there at hits me at all.

Oh, I actually meant just Blind Rage, but yeah, I agree with you that it's just not Accept at all.

yeah, it's just more melodic than heavy and the guitar riffs seem to be missing or just weak. not up to wolf hoffmann standards for sure!

i also agree that Objection Overruled is very unappreciated. i love that album actually, as well as Death Row. the guitar tone on Death Row is enough to make you want to launch yourself through a brick wall. incredible tone.

Objection Overruled is a totally killer album, and every bit as good as most of the 1980s Accept albums for me. In fact, I like it more than Metal Heart! Much heavier and darker than your typical Accept album, too. I got the original pressing on CD, so I'm really happy with that. I don't like Predator, though. I don't know what was up with that!

hahahahahaha preditor, there's that d**ned -tor term again, is nothing more than a table coaster. i may have listened to that turd one or twice and put it away forever. i didn't even rip it to mp3 out of respect for the mp3 format. here's a link to the OO discussion we had years ago. feel free to bring it back to the top! udoonline.proboards.com/thread/561/objetion-overruled

That one is OK. It's still better than poop like Eat the Heat, but not really an Accept album for me. Found it overlong, too.

Never been a friend of Death Row and Predator was a huge disappointment for me. Objection Overruled is magnificient though. Took a time to get into it but when it opened for me I blew away. Protectors of Terror, Slaves to Metal, Sick, Dirty and Mean, just to name a few of the greatest songs on it.

I must draw this topic once again on agenda. ;D I really love this album, especially Wolf's awesome guitar work and Udo's way to sing for example Death Row song...maybe the best vocal performance from Udo, if you are thinking about the timing.. :DAnd when angry voice is needed Udo does that also so brilliantly (Like A Loaded Gun, Sodom & Gomorra). Lyrics are also very critical. This one also has the best Accept ballad Writing On The Wall. I am totally behind of my words. My opinion has not changed at all. I always preferred Death Row from Accept's comeback years with Udo. Predator on the other hand can go down the toilet anytime.

i like death row and objection overruled. the only Accept album i never listen to is predator (must've been kaufmann's influence to suck Accept into their own -tor era). i might have listened to it once or twice. it's been put away ever since. even eat the heat does get a spin once in a while. mostly because i really like the song "D-Train".

Seems like there'll be no .U.D.O. album this year... At least the Dirkschneider tour seems to be unstoppable.
