What about Kaufmann as the drummer? And now I am not talking about his personality.

hahahaha i was hoping someone would catch that. yes, i like francesco's style of playing far better than kaufmann's. but i do have to admit that kaufmann was very creative and ahead of his time for his era. but drumming, like guitar playing, has gotten a lot more technical and has changed so much over the years so it's hard to say who would be better back then as compared to now if they were both in their prime. but back to the point, yes, i have gotten years of major enjoyment out of kaufmann's drumming.

I really liked Kaufmann's playing - when he was a drummer.

There are some things in common with Kaufmann and Hoffmann. Hoffmann wants to play all the guitar tracks in the studio and Kaufmann wants to program the drums and don't let anyone to play the drums in the studio.
