didn't i just read somewhere that one of the members of Angra is now joining Megadeth? The rumor is that Kiko Loureiro has been hired to play lead guitar on the new Megadeth album while Chris Adler from Lamb Of God has been hired to play drums. In the case of Adler, it is rumored to only be a session gig; with Kiko it is unclear. Hence, that's why I said that I hope if this rumor is true it doesn't mean the end of Angra, but rather that Angra might get a little more exposure because of it. For example, it would be cool if Angra were an opener on a Megadeth tour, especially here in the U.S. where they are largely unknown if you're not a power or prog metal fan. It would not be unprecedented. When Exodus opened for Slayer during a couple of recent tours, Gary Holt, who has replaced the late Jeff Hanneman, and is the leader of Exodus, played 2 sets a night. It could be done.

Armored Saint. i just don't know why these guys were never bigger. they won me over years ago when i saw them open up for Ted Nugent. probably 87 or 88 or 89. something like that. they just blew me away but they never made it over that hump. here's some new stuff from them.

I agree, John. Their album "Symbol Of Salvation" is one of my favorite metal albums to come out in the 1990s. Joey Vera is a great bassist and also plays in Fates Warning, another band that I think should have been/be bigger.

there's no doubt about it. also the Revelation album is just incredible. i've never listened to Fates Warning too much though. i'll have to check them out.

Never liked Armored Saint - which pissed me off because it's such a great band name. Their music always flirted with some type of alternative sound after the first couple albums and even when Bush joined Anthrax, it sounded off. I think 'ol JB has some kind of "I'm above regular metal" attitude because he steers his lyrics in the most stupid directions. This new song could ALMOST be modern rock.
And not to sling more mud, I also cannot stand Fates Warning. Any era. Those early 90s prog albums were some of the most tepid, boring 'heavy metal' cds I have ever paid for.

i'm downloading the FW albums now. i'll see what i think of them. since i've never really listened to them before, there must be some sort of reason. so i'm not holding out much hope.

^I think FW is a little bit of far away from your genres.

You might actually like the older Fates Warning, like "Awaken The Guardian." They are progressive metal though, so if you don't like Queensryche meets Rush or King Crimson, than yes, they won't be your cup of tea.
Couldn't disagree more with u94, both on Armored Saint or Fates Warning. Then again, the beauty of this forum is that we can all have our opinions and disagree with civility.

As some/many of you mean also, I think Battle Beast should be big and I think they are becoming it right now. I think they will be as big as Sabaton in the future. I actually think they are better than Sabaton. I have a feeling they will attract a BIG audience.

To me Battle Beast is already a grown up one.
Now they can look down to Sabaton . At least at my point of view.
I dont see any talant in Sabaton, just a direct 3 cords and a good promotion, thats their clue.
Beast is much more interesting musically. I wonder if Noora woild dare to change music style.

i see BB taking over that too. when they come here in march next year, i think, they are opening for Kamelot. i've got a feeling they will blow Kamelot off the stage.
