Laziness it is! Udo was brave enough to choose many obscure/not so well known ACCEPT songs for their second Dirkschneider round. I was in Heaven! Why can't he now choose less established songs, instead of the well-known title tracks? Network Nightmare, Shellshock Fever, Don't Look Back, Future Land, Stranger... The list is endless. I would argue all U.D.O. songs are less established songs. Everybody knows the Accept classics, but how many know his solo stuff besides some songs that have been on the radio? The crowd was a bit awkward when U.D.O. played here in 2019 and left without doing any of the Accept hits. So I'd say it's quite brave for him to go out and play no Accept songs. Of course it would be fun to hear some really deep cuts, but I'm just happy that so many of my favourite musicians are still touring at this age! I have no idea who I'm gonna see in 10 years time...

i've decided that i will go see Udo one last time if he does come to the U.S. as long as my son wants to go with me. if he can't go, then i won't go. but i'm willing to bet that he'll make it happen. i think the setlist is decent. there is always difference in opinion on what should be on it or off of it. personally, i'd really like to see Thunder In The Tower, Raise The Crown, The Key, Azrael, Desperate Balls, Back In Pain, Animal Instinct, Pull The Trigger, on the list but i know that'll never happen.

They have played some of those songs live in Finland: Azrael (on Steelhammer tour), Desperate Balls (Solid tour), Animal Instinct (Man And Machine tour) and Pull The Trigger (Thunderball tour). I have also witnessed live Blitz Of Lightning, Faceless World, Stranger (Decadent tour), Future Land, Go Back to Hell (on Steelhammer tour). I would not mind to hear these songs again.

Saw them live last night and gotta say The Wrong Side of Midnight was the biggest surprise. Such a banger! Never cared much for the studio version, but it really kicked ass live and you could see the band was really enjoying this one too. Overall the band was as energetic as the last time I saw them, good enough setlist for me, even though it's a bit weird they play a Queen cover but no Accept covers (especially with Baltes now in the band, couldn't they do at least Breaker or Restless and Wild?). And you could see the crowd was a bit weirded out by that too (nobody knew how to react when Sven asked if there were any Queen fans in the crowd). Also a "fight" broke out in the crowd during the last song so they had to start it twice. Really great to see a band reacting to a fight and calling this bullpoop out, instead of just ignoring it like so many others do.

Thank you for the short review I wasn't happy to see The Wrong Side of Midnight on the setlist again but reading your words about the live version makes me interested. And yes, it's cool that they stopped playing when they saw the crowd fight. That's a great reaction in my opinion as well.

That makes sense, yes. (By the way that Shadow Soldiers song is one of my least favorites from ACCEPT). I noticed one additional "anymore" in the live version of Pain which I think is Peter's idea, too.

I must say that I really liked the show! The setlist was good in my opinion, of course it can always be better, but in overall it was a good one. It included some really good ones (Pain, Break the Rules…) and two really bad ones (Independence day and TWSOM), when you can easily go to toilet and maybe buy another beer. 😆
Especially in the beginning of the show I felt like that the band was playing tighter than ever, I really enjoyed it. I have a feeling that with Peter the band will do lot of good things in the future!

Well, I really don't get why they think that playing Independence Day is a must.
