I do respect Kaufmann's history. As a bigger scale he did a very good job (from 1980 forward 'till the start of 21st century). OK, he as a producer ruined in the end almost everything. Let's think it this way. Maybe without Kaufmann Accept's history would have ended already in 1982. He and Udo was always the other part of Accept in the 80's. If all the Accept members would have been "against Udo", that could have been the end of Accept. And when the band UDO was put together for the second time. Kaufmann had a big role that the UDO saga continued with Solid onward. I would even go this far: if Kaufmann hadn't joined UDO, there hadn't been UDO anymore from 1997 to this day. The long years gave Udo himself lots of confidence that the departure of Kaufmann didn't end U.D.O. in 2013. He wasn't and isn't dependent on Kaufmann anymore. In my opinion we should not forget history. In the long run Kaufmann as a music producer made his own self-made prison. We are allowed to be angry about that.

maybe i take things too personally about stuff like this because i just can't get over the fact that he and his ego tried to take over the band and almost single handedly ruined it. luckily Udo saw the light and got rid of the cancer that was festering in his band and replaced it with one hell of a guitar player (Andrey). then, luckily again, igor couldn't handle the pressure of competition so he left the band and the other guitar wizard was brought on-board to complete what must be the best, or close to the best, guitar duo in metal right now!!

I can't help to point again that Udo saw that light especially due to BOTN release and fans reactions toward it, otherwise I don't know...After all, he was the leader of the band. Luckily we talking about history now
