Welcome desperateballs!!! As Rikke said, it is very great to welcome new members since the forum dropped out from the website! I'm a "new" member here as well, I joined a year ago and I love to come there because everyone is so friendly and kind, just like in a little family! Stay here and be an active member of this little "uncensored" forum family!
As for the favorite albums, I can't really decide wich one is my favorite. Maybe I can Timebomb, but I like the other ones from the 80's and 90's and even from the begining of the 2000's. Man and machine, Thunderball... I love these albums! I even can find awesome songs on Mastercutor and I can listen to the Dominator album as well, with a little bittertaste in my mouth. As for Rev-Raptor, I'm much disappointed! I bought the Leatherhead EP and the limited digipack version of Rev-Raptor as well, but I totally regret it! I'm much disappointed, as I said.
I also known here as a guy who listens and buy a lot of Hungarian heavy metal. Don't know if you know any bands from my country or not, but if you want I can give you links and etc. I'm a big supporter of my country high quality heavy metal music.

Hi you all again!! you're right pzoltan; people over here is really kind and friendly. I think you all will become my "metal family" in the Internet Like mika said; there I go with my fave stuff: TOP 3 U.D.O. albums for me are: 1) Solid 2) Mean Machine 3) Holy & Animal House, Timebomb, Thunderball... (can't decide LOL) * The rest... great albums most of them. The least faves 3: 1) Faceless World (many keyboards on it... and live shows... uffff, also many keyboads LOL; keys are not made for U.D.O.). 2) No Limits. 3) Just those two above... the rest are enough Ok in order to be included here Fave ballad: the "little man" has a bunch of great ballads... but maybe, in order to personal circumstances, "The Eye of the Eagle" is the best one to me. It has a phrase: "It's good to be alive" that always is in my mind. I 've beaten a serious desease that was 14 months long... and here I am... still rockin'... so, "It's good to be alive" I also like "Cry soldier cry", terrific one. About the Hungarian metal scene, that would be really nice to me "discovering" metal bands from there. Feel free to send me an e-mail or message with info pzoltan; it will be welcome!! See ya soon mates!!

my favorite album is Mean Machine and my least favorite album(s) are anything after Holy. with that attitude getting worse and worse with each new album. even though i run this site, i would've left a long time ago if not for the great people that are here!! it is a true internet family and you just never turn your back on family!! and trust me, from what i'm able to figure out with the small amount of tools available on this site, the b.a.n.d. and/or the people around them do still check in here, there is no doubt. haha they can't leave it either! there are many passionate fans here. we say what we think and that's the way it is. so enjoy, post often, and don't be afraid to say or ask anything!!

Welcome to the forum, desperateballs! It's hard for me to choose a favorite album because it's impossible to buy the old records. But from the albums I've heard (Solid, Thunderball, Mission nr.X Tor-era) The best one is Thunderball.
The worst is Rev-Raptor. But I don't think it's a bad album, I like some tracks.

John: I remember when you said during Mastercutor that it was the step into a right direction. Just compare it with Mission NO X and you will remember why you said that.

that's true because in my mind, mission no. x was the worst album that u.d.o. had put out. so anything would've been a step in the right direction. the song writing has just been so bad these last 10 - 12 years that coupled with the incredibly terrible production, it really makes it hard to even listen to the stuff. and it's not that hard!! listen to how much a$$ Udo kicks on that last song he did with some other band. i can't remember right now, but holy cow!! i was so excited because i thought it was u.d.o. and that they had heard our cries!! the song was great! the writing, the execution, Udo's voice, it was all there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i wish he would join that band!!

Hey, can someone send me that song? I've never heard it, it was on Youtube, but they removed it before I listened to it!
My favorite is and will be:
Faceless world (the best album ever and the album has the best song ever - Blitz of lightning)
Worst album they've done is Rev-craptor, I find there one minute-part which is really good, otherwise it's nothing special and the old U.D.O. is special for me.

By the way I forgot to name the worst .U.D.O. album but that is of course Rev-Recyclator.
I don't hate Mission No. X because at lest the guitarsound is listenable on that album.

Hi !!
About Mission Nº. X... well, the intro is awesome!! I love playing it into my guitar... pretty easy... but I do not know what it has that makes me love it. The songs "Mission Nº X" and "Cry Soldier Cry"... are quite decent. Also maybe the last one "Mad for Crazy" with Udo's scream before guitar solo like if it was something similar to the "Fast as a Shark" intro LOL. Love that kind of Udo's screams.
Regards guys!!

Tomcat: to me Udo's voice is worst on Mission No X and somehow the whole soundworld doesn't appeal to me. There is just something that irritates me...I used to like it when it came out, then I started to notice the soundworld is the same on Crystal Ball, Majesty and Cyberya stuff Kaufmann produced. Then again when I hear the live version of 24/7 I love that song really much, but on that album I am not able to listen to it anymore. On Rev-Raptor Udo's voice is in top form, but the album is otherwise ____. @desperate Balls: Don't get us wrong. We all love the first albums plus the live stuff by UDO...we are just angry about the soundworld and that the band doesn't want an outside producer like all the other bands in the world. We also don't like the censorship of the band manager Frank Süpfle. So that means we don't have freedom of speech at all because of the band policy at the official site.

so desperateballs' post made me listen to mission no. x (gee, thanks! ) and i just don't see much appeal here. i guess there are some cool moments in some songs. and i have to say that at least the production on this album doesn't yet have that nasty -torized squashed, headache creating sound yet. so i can at least listen to it without wanting to dive off a 100 foot cliff into a dry lake filled with hungry lions!! but i think this is where those d**ned 180 person choir really started to wear on our nerves.

It would be totally sweet if the band released their next album as a producers edition, with DI tracks for guitar and bass, real drums and all the vocals in diffrent tracks. That way we could all mix the album the way we wanted.
