After what I've read, the drummer of udo plays drums in the studio, and mr.kaufmann gets the midi notes from the triggers and edit them in a DAW. This may be wrong, I'm not sure.
Tomcat: I'm pretty sure the bass drums on BOTN is triggerd. Andy Sneap have said in an interview that he likes to replace the sound of the bass drums completely and mix the snare 50/50 real drums sound and triggerd.
The fact that Andy replace the real drum sound does not make his albums sound dull and boring, in most cases, his albums sound better than most other stuff.

What is funny the drums sound the same who ever is credited as a "drummer". The band is telling a lie as they lied about the reasons of dropping the fan forum link from the official site. It is so hard for that band to be honest.

This may be wrong, I'm not sure. if this is the case, then schwarzmann suddenly changed his style of drumming after timebomb and developed the exact same style used by all u.d.o. studio drummers ever since! so schwarzmann, the mystery drummer on holy, lorenzo, and fransesco all have the same drumming style in the studio along with the exact same drum sound and cymbal sound! what incredible luck for u.d.o. to find 4 drummers with the exact same sound and style!! and don't forget all the other drummers that record at roxx studio in other bands that also have that same sound and style. what an odd coincidence that they all only go to roxx studio!

The fact that Andy replace the real drum sound does not make his albums sound dull and boring, in most cases, his albums sound better than most other stuff. and especially in the case of BOTN, andy is working with much more creative, hungry, and talented musicians too. if you don't write dull and boring stuff, then it won't turn out to sound dull and boring. prime example: BOTN. and andy is one kick ass producer, that also helps immensely!! he doesn't allow drum machines washed out / over effected guitar sounds 337 tracks of backup vocals

Strange enough that Francesco's style on stage is more colorful than in the studio...

To me realizing the drum computer thing lasted a long time. You all should listen to Cyberya stuff (there the drums are honestly to be said to be programmed and suprise, it is the exact same drum sound with UDO.)
Crystall Ball prod. by Kaufmann:

lorenzo's style was MUCH different live than in the studio too!!! when i saw them in san diego in 2000, he was going OFF and was killer on the drums!!
note: taking the b.a.n.d.'s newly learned honesty, i wonder if that's why he had to suddenly leave for "family reasons"?

(song examples) I wonder why people want to get Stafan as their producer, I really dislike his producing style. But I guess people is allowed to have different opinions than myself

Well, to be fair, Wolf and the boys have had many years to shore up fresh ideas for what would become the new Accept album. Plus everyone is excited to just have a new Accept record. However, there is no denying the quality of Blood of the Nations. It's a terrific effort.
Rev-Raptor is quite good, too, in my opinion. I would perhaps enjoy a more crunchy guitar sound, though. This one is all fuzzed out.
As far as the drums, I don't know what to think. Perhaps they are live drums, but there is little doubt they are, at the very least, heavily edited, digitally. Sound reinforcement, etc.
P.S. I like the member who suggests Rev-Raptor isn't metal, but rather, tech-NO-metal. What the hell?! Is he kidding? Rev-Raptor isn't metal music?! I HOPE he is just kidding.

When someone is lost and on the wrong road, he or she needs someone to guide him/her back on the right road. That is what the band U.D.O. needs in the form of a real producer.
