More UDO songs, Udo is glad for the Accept comeback because now they can play the UDO songs (he talks about Timebomb and Mean Meachine... a "killer album" in their own words). UDO will have a great support/promotion by AFM... and UDO know there are a NEW GENERATION fans (it´s the sad for me) and they want to experimenting more with the new-modern sound in the next album (I´m fear because I hate Dominator but I love Mastercutor). They say don´t leave their roots but... "we are at 2011" (literal words). ... but the worst for me is Udo love REAL MADRID... (Fitty loves FC BARCELONA like me) aaaaaaarrrrrrrrrggggggg!!!!! ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png) Rafa Basa is a great journalist (he says to Udo Dominator was a bad album... and Udo didn´t like that).

wow, so we can expect more of the same ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) the same mega effected and processed guitar sound, the same drum machine, no power or energy, and i guess by the sentence "we won't leave our roots" that means the roots of this era of u.d.o. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) to me, this is a bad thing because there just isn't anything exciting about this era so for them to stick to the roots of this era means nothing to me. sorry. i know another band that "stuck to their roots" and put out the album of the year. an album that i couldn't stop listening to even if i wanted to! but the thing is, the music is so great, the power, the emotion, the everything about this album makes me not want to stop listening. i can't say even one thing about the last 6 u.d.o. albums. they are dry toast, vanilla, and boring. a u.d.o. album is like the moon to me. it holds no life. at least Udo acknowledges that mean machine and timebomb are killer albums though! that's somewhat promising! it'd be nice if he'd say something like this in the studio next time... Udo: "hey guys, back when i did the mean machine album, we did ...", or, "...we played it this way... "

The problem is that they do not see it as the wrong direction,Kauffman camouflage it as the only way ! Forget real instruments, they're obsolete, welcome to the cyborg age !

They're complete nutters, not sensing what's around in the world ! Jeno Maybe they only think of the album sales figures and the new generation of fans. And have forgotten us old fans who have supported the band for over 20 years... ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) I still hope that the new record won't sell well, so that they are forced to re-think everything and realize they are badly lost at the moment.

hmmm, the story is just starting to change a little bit. now Udo did consider it to the point of leaving UDO? but i can totally understand his loyalty to stefan. 100%. i would do the exact same. and it is true that we do have these two great bands. both are great live in concert. but there will always be that wish that they could put things aside and be the mighty Accept again!!
but i don't know. Accept is doing so well with Mark now. it's amazing. he has taken that band far over the top!
i agree with Udo. i wish wolf would stop talking sh*t about Udo. it seems there is more bad chemistry between him and stefan than him and Udo. but as usual, Udo takes the high road and proves once again that he's the grown-up and the gentleman. THAT my brothers is a role model.

Thanks for the translation, Tomcat. That was a very interesting interview (completely agree about the bizarre translation but you can only expect so much from Google). If what Udo says about what happened a couple of years ago is true, it's unfortunate. That said, as we all know, the truth is likely somewhere in the murky middle, as it is with everything. Generally, there are always egos involved when you have talented individuals in a room together, and Wolf, Peter, Udo, and Stefan K are no different in that regard. I can't say that I am overly thrilled with Udo's description of the album, and the direction that the band has taken, but none of us are surprised about this issue. I completely agreed with Udo's assessment of the current state of metal and more broadly popular music. I only wish that in the section where he talked about the tour, he mentioned going to the States as well. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)

i noticed that as well. they are booked until christmas and we know for sure there are no u.s. dates on there ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) you know, i just thought of something. i wonder if there is something between schwarzmann and kaufmann. i don't want to start any rumors so know that this is souly my own thoughts. probably not even an opinion yet. it just went through my mind. but you know, SS quit for good when kaufmann came into the band didn't he? maybe SK can't deal with the talent of SS back there? maybe some jealousy? i couldn't imagine it, but you never know. or maybe SS is so bitter about kaufmann replacing him with a machine that SS is the one with the problem with kaufmann?! don't know. just thinking and typing out loud.
