Who has the strongest album of 2024?
All classic bands with new efforts produced by Mr. Andy Sneap.

Saxon… well, their previous album was recommended me by my german friend, but I found it to be nothing special. Actually , Saxon is not polular in Russia and never was. People just do not see enough of talent in this band.
As for JP vs Accept , I think that production is of the highest level, so its deuce. I personally prefer “Humanoid” though “Invincible shiled” is very good as well. Jesus, Judas Priest can not ram me down with another painkiller , still they provide good metal in their new era.
While Humanoid to me is much better. Not a dime less than Accept classics , I stand on this positiion. Baltes would make it epic, with a cherry on it. Stil, its perfect.

i really like invincible shield so far. i haven't heard the new saxon yet at all, and haven't heard humanoid enough yet to really get a grasp on it. but at the moment, this would be my humble opinion...
1. invincible shield. very good album and their best since pain killer. it's filled with aggression and speed. the drums are killer and they made rob's voice sound killer - although from the video's i've seen of this tour, he can't quite hit those notes live.
2. humanoid. i've only heard the songs a few times. it's typical template stuff. mid tempo and very little aggression. the drums carry this accept album much like they have for all of the albums since christopher joined the band.
3. saxon. i haven't heard any of the songs from their new album yet so i don't have an opinion.
... all in all, i'm kinda worried about the sound and production of a lot of metal these days. it's all just so perfect and polished. i don't see metal being any of that. i prefer it to be raw and with a more live and in your face feeling.

Exactly my thoughts. I don't get why Wolf is so satisfied with Andy Sneep. I really don't have anything against Andy but the sound he creats for ACCEPT is not the ACCEPT sound. That's the Andy Sneep sound. I don't think it's good if all the bands have the same uniformic sound.

In defense of Andy, I'd pray for U.D.O. to have that sort of production instead of whatever computer crap he used on Game Over.
There's such a wide swath of metal music available, I have enough audio variety. From Sneap-style polish to cavernous death metal, I don't get stuck in one atmosphere. Whatever suits the material best. German power metal tends to work better with that flawless sound: Primal Fear, Iron Savior, Paragon, Palace, etc.
