after a first full listen, i just have to say that the guitar work is friggin excellent on this album and the drums are surprisingly good too! good job everybody. my favorites are just two and it's surprising that they are back to back on the album, and gee, i wonder what (or who) these songs are about?!? Sad Mans Show The Betrayer

After my first listen to the album all the way through, it's definitely a major improvement in my book over "Game Over." Love Peter's bass playing throughout the album and love the fact that you can hear it well in the mix. My biggest complaint is with the snare drum trigger; I hate the tin can sound of it. I think Sven has recorded his best studio performance so far, but the snare drum trigger really takes away from how great his performance is. Hard to say what my favorite songs are at this point; it usually takes me a few listens to pick favorites. After a single listen, I really like "Fight for the Right" and "Sad Man's Show." Will update after a few more listens.

It's good for me to read positive reviews about the album. I'm not in the mood to dig deeper right now. I tried twice, but things that happened in my life (parents' health issues) didn't allow me to focus on music. So go ahead guys, let me read your positive comments Maybe this will help me dig into the album more.

I have only previewed the albums so far. Except that now after the work I started to really listen to the album. Cannot say the fave tracks so far....but I liked the solo in Fight For The Right ( Mozart's Rondo alla Turca). Stormwitch has made years ago their instrumental version of that classical piece. Hmm....the drum sound sounds little bit strange and there is something in the guitar sound as well. If I compare the guitar sound in DATOG and the new UDO, I prefer the DATOG guitar sound.

Something on the album bothers me....after one intensive listening I do not know exactly what it is. However I am certain of one thing: this is no Timebomb 2....nowhere near to it. I can say this: I like this more than Game Over.

And now that I have listened for example Steelhammer....what is wrong with the sound world now with the newest album. Same kind of problem like I had with Game Over.

Wtf is wrong with this production? I want to hear roaring guitars and shrieking vocals, but they are all drowned in muddy production. It's been downhill since Decadent for me. Back to listening Steelhammer, I guess

Hoeyguys, Long time. I Just listened to the album multiple times. I love the song Isolation Man, I think It Is a great metal tune! The production Is pretty muddy unfortunately. Some of the tracks sound pretty generic, but some good tunes here. I also like the Title Track and Fight For Your Rights. Is It me or The Flood , especially at the beginning , sounds a lot like Teutonic Terror? LOL?!

My parents are going through serious health challenges that are weighing on me too so I can certainly empathize with what you are going through. Remember that music can be a nice distraction from our stresses.

Remember that music can be a nice distraction from our stresses. Hello Doc and thank you very much for your kind words! Really appreciated. Best wishes to your parents and to you too! Yes, music can help a lot. But maybe it's just I'm not in the mood to discover new material. Maybe that's why I like the first two singles the most. Cause I have known them for a while. Plus I like the obvious choices like Fight for the Right for example. That song reminded me (just like mika) of Stormwitch's instrumental Rondo alla Turca. I remember what a huge disappointment that album (Eye of the Storm) was to me back in 1989. Mainly because of the bad songs but also the soundworld with mountains of drum machines was a catastrophee... But - back to the present - I think that there is a second line of songs on Touchdown that open up a bit slower and need more time and listenings. The ones like Punchline, Sad Man's Show and The Betrayer - which in my opinion is the less .U.D.O.-like song on the album. Unfortunately, I feel that the album fades to dull towards the end. Maybe it will change later.

And now that I have listened for example Steelhammer....what is wrong with the sound world now with the newest album. Same kind of problem like I had with Game Over. The name of that problem is Stefan Kaufmann... Not that the sound of modern era ACCEPT albums bites or claws. Both bands need to change their producers.
