I just learned that a net.friend of mine who I have interacted with for quite a few years died of pancreatic cancer back in October. He was 52. I'm 48. Not a lot of difference there. I'm really bummed about the number of people in recent months who have died from some form of cancer. Worse, his family is apparently now facing $100k in leftover bills. They have a gofundme set up but so far it's only raised a bit less than $5k since October. It's all just very depressing.

Well, perhaps this thread could use some positive input. After my battles with cancer in 2018, I am 5 years out and still clear. Lost the lower half of my left lung and 25% of my colon. Last year I had a CT scan on my chest and just a couple months ago a clear colonoscopy. Life is good.

This is great news, Terence! May God save you from that nasty bastard (cancer) in the future, too.
