Well, poop happens, bro. And yes, sometimes this “black stripe” can be of several items and be long-lasting. All I can say that when You see it through , You will be much stronger inside.

Well, it has been quite a ride for the last couple of years. Major surgeries (both me and my dog!) , pandemic (parents ill but seems to be ok for now) and also other problems not worth mentioning. I even can't remember everything. I'm happy still being alive though! But I wonder when the all complications will end? Or maybe it just simply won't. That's how life goes on with its ups and downs... P.S. Minor car accident yesterday. Not my fault but it means leaving the car in the garage for awhile. I haven't even got any energy to get upset at these indifferent troubles anymore... Life is hard sometimes. And there really can come many difficult years in a row. Let's rejoice when some problems end and let's not the problems discourage us. Health issues are not nice at all. I am happy that your parents are ok now! I do hope you didn't mean with complications the issues after the surgery, but complications effecting every-day life. No I am not hoping any complications to your life, but every-day complications are easier to bear than healt complications.

well, i've been away for a few reasons, lightning took out my modem and it took my provider, century link, 12 days to get me a new one. in the meantime, i found one on craigslist and installed it to get myself back up and running. and also my dad's health is rapidly deteriorating. he is making progress but i fear what waits for him in the next few weeks. it's not good. so please forgive my absences. trying to keep up with work, my property since my wife and daughter are on vacation and my mom and dad is just time consuming.

it's funny because century link sent me a couple of shipping labels to send their wrong modems back. since i've been gone for 7 days, they've just sat here. so i got an email this morning from them reminding me to send them back and let them know the status. i told them that i had to wait 12 days for my internet to be restored and it would've been 14 days if i had to rely on them so they'll get their modems back in 28 days from today. they replied that their policy is for the equipment to be returned within 11 days. i just replied a few minutes ago with three words ... "bite my a$$".

Life is a strange thing. Divorced and now remarried. Have two step-children in addition to my children. Moving to Florida in one week. My children will be staying behind with their mom. Hopefully I won't regret the choices that I have made in response to events that were initiated outside of my control.

i wish you the best of luck doc!! let us know that you made it to florida safely. Thanks John! I've been in Florida for a week now. Much more my style in terms of climate, politics and overall quality of life compared to Washington State. Did a fun cross-country drive from WA here.
