The doctor said it will slow the development of the disease quite much. Well, we the children were quite perceptive and pushed doctor(s) to do things in order to get our mother to the MRI. There are some problems with the short-term memory. But it also depends on the matter: for example she did remember what day is the doctor's appointment.

My mother was before christmas in the magnetic resonance imaging of the head. Today I went to see a specialist in geriatrics with my mother. It turned out that my mother has a starting Alzheimer Disease. It is thankfully in an early stage. She will start the medicine for that tomorrow onward. Sorry for that diagnosis. Fortunately it's in early stage. I hope that she will have lots of quality time in the future.

This weekend has had both good and bad things. Good one is that I got a job in the another library after current contract is ended.
Bad one is that my wife went into mental hospital again. She has been in quite bad shape for month. This illness will stay but fortunately it can be treated when gets aggressive.

Be strong man! I wish you and all your family the best. It's matter of being strong and determined. You'll see how things get better step by step. Keep fightin' every day. Last year I underwent surgery 7 times due to a kidney serious illnes... 7 times!! I thought it never ended and almost passed away 2 times... but well; I'm here and I'm alive; all I can tell you is that you have to be strong and determined. Help your family in all the ways you can; it's the best present we can do to our relatives in life Hang on to life and fight metalwarrior

We're happy to have you, DesperateBalls!
Tomorrow I'm gonna bring my Father to a chloroformist or anaesthesiologist or what is the right word for that. He will tell us if my Father can lie under the knife on the 29th of May... because his right shoulder disjointed 10 times since last September.

Thanks for your words Tomcat Ok man... no prob, don't be afraid of surgery... it is just that, surgery. The best way to face it: be strong!! You do not have to be afraid of surgery; almost 100% cases, surgery helps us to have a better life in the future. The 7 times I've entered the operating room last year... I just faced it remembering that phrase: "It's good to be alive"... so If surgery can keep me alive and gets my health recovered... what the f*ck; let's enter the operating room right now!! Maybe somebody can think that I'm mad or I'm stupid... but well; every problem has a solution... so then, surgery has the solution to many health problems; so, do not be afraid of it man Try to spread this words to your relatives... it may help them to face this situation (I hope so). It helped me a lot. Remember, be strong

Thanx, Bro. I can tell you that my Father really is a strong man. His backbone has been broken for fourty-something years. The problem with this shoulder thing is that he cannot use his legs, so his life will be very hard when he will be unable to use his right arm after the surgery.

Did the surgeon tell you that? Does exist 100% chances of not using his right arm after surgery? Is it true? I hope it never hapen man. It would be hard. Let's keep the faith on positive things my friend I think everything will get better than expected You have to be strong and encourage your dad. If he feels everything will be ok after surgery... it wil!! I know it's hard, but I think it's the way to face it... I'm afraid that If I did not face it this way, I won't be here writing this words. I still have some pains and it will last almost a year as the surgeon-team told me... so, at least it got better... I should be dead right now if I did not take those surgeries Encourage him, make him feel positive and strong enough to face and solve this problem

I'm afraid I wasn't clear enough. Of course he will be able to use his arm, but right after the surgery there's gonna be a long period of recovery. For some time he will have his arm slinged. So that's gonna be the hardest period.
