ACCEPT - Eat The Heat
01. X-T-C 10
Nice rocker with a little bit of commercial sound but still great! Good vocals on this one and guitar solo is marvellous. Way to go Wolf! ;D
02. Generation Clash 10
This one has a slow pace. Peter plays bass guitar magnificently! Guitar solo is the best one on this cd. Vocals fit this song brilliantly!
03. Chain Reaction 9
Good commercial rocker this is.
04. Love Sensation 2
Giddy up, for heaven's sake. How can Accept guys compose a song this bad! This kind of songs is world full. From one ear in and out from the other.
05. Turn The Wheel 3
This is an Accept song. How on earth? Little bit better than Love Sensation though.
06. Hellhammer 8
Great song! Middle part of this song is good! This could have easily been a hit song except that it is a little bit too long for that purpose. At the end the song is fading and the end contains palatable guitar playing for my ears. Just hope Wolf would have jammed a little bit longer with this song.
07. Prisoner 8
Great guitar playing on this song. This is melodic and catchy song. There is hit potential also on this one.
08. I Can't Believe In You 8
Some kind of a poppy song. I really like the guitar sound. Drums are being played also nicely. Fine part comes with bass guitar after David singing set you free and then the song continues...
09. Mistreated 3
No, no, no, no, no... Lyrics are good, but the song is way too long and tedious. *yawn* When making a ballad I wish it would be a beautiful ballad, not like this. It feels like there has been no soul nor ideas when they have composed this song.
10. Stand 4 What U R 6
Quite listenable song but so far, far away from Accept standards...
11. Break The Ice 6
A little bit strange song, but listenable.
12. D-Train 9
This is fast and aggressive song. Drumming in this song is [glow=red,2,300]furious[/glow]! This song has heart and soul!
ACCEPT - Objection Overruled
01. Objection Overruled 8
Great opening song! Typical Accept chorus in this one. I don't know what it is, but something is missing with this song. Too simple or something like that: chorus and solo are great and Udo's singing well in this one. I prefer Thunderball by U.D.O. over this one.
02. I Don't Wanna Be Like You 10
If you like Balls To The Wall record and you don't like this song, go and examine your head. ;D This could have easily been on Balls To The Wall album. Solo is grrrreat! Well, all in all almost every Accept song has a great solo. I am being repetitive here.
03. Protectors Of Terror 8
Lyrics are good, idea is good. Way to go Udo! This cd really shows that Udo is also putting everything into this album. What comes to guitar solo this song is an exception to the rule, solo isn't good one. Video of this song is maybe the best Accept video ever!
04. Slaves To Metal 10
Accept classic, oh yes it is! ;D One of the best vocal performances by Udo! Before B-part Wolf's guitar gimmick sends shivers down my spine. (This kind of guitar gimmicks Death Row album is full.)Tip: Listen to this song by concentrating on Udo's vocals. After that listen to the song again, but this time concentrate on the guitar.
05. All Or Nothing 9
This is melodic mid-tempo song. Very beautiful song indeed and gang vocals send shivers! This song has the same kind of feeling as The Land OF The Midnight Sun by U.D.O.
06. Bulletproof 9
This reminds of AC/DC. At first I didn't like this song but when I heard this song live, I started to like this one.
07. Amamos la Vida 7
Atmospheric song. Udo is singing fantastically on this one. He's the master in expressing the mood.
08. Sick, Dirty And Mean 9
This song starts in a really heavy way. The beginning is one of the heaviest Accept song beginnings. Then it turns into a fast song. Fierce drumming and Udo's raw voice. Ha, techno man would poo in his pants when hearing this song! ;D
09. Donation 8
Reminds of AC/DC once again. Before the solo the guitar sound resembles the song I'm A Rebel guitar sound. Dirty lyrics in this song.
10. Just By My Own 5
Wolf can do better than this. Spanish like guitar in the middle of the song is cool.
11. This One's For You 10
Fast and aggressive song. Guitar solo is awesome! Yes, yes, more like this. Ending of this song is cool!
Japanese bonus: Rich And Famous 10
One of the best rock songs ever and I really mean rock song, not metal nor hard rock - just pure rock!
ACCEPT - Death Row
01. Death Row 10
This song has great rhythm and fantastic lead guitar. Udo also sings in this song brilliantly and Udo's voice is so well adjusted to the rhythm of this song. This is so energetic song that so called thrash metal bands can only astonish the power of this song.
02. Sodom & Gomorra 10
This is also a powerful song. Very straight forward traditional heavy metal song. The highlight is the guitar solo (Sabre Dance originally by Aram Hatshaturjan). This kind of solo fits in this song very well. Lyrically this song has a strong message. There's no reason to make things look better than they really are...Accept doesn't fawn anybody.
03. The Beast Inside 10
The beginning of this song could easily been on some horror movie. Once again the rhythm is good. These guys somehow always knew how to keep the tension in the song and an ability to raise the feelig toward the end.
04. Dead On! 10
Pounding drums and the song runs like a heavy train. It's impossible to stop the train. This song has a killer solo. This song also has the power that some thrash metal band can only dream.
05. Guns 'R' Us 10
Get a free magazine with your M-16! Do I need to say more? This shows some criticism to the gun industry and to the politics of USA. This song has fantastic groove. It reminds in some scale of AC/DC type of song.
06. Like A Loaded Gun 10
A killer track and a killer solo. An Accept classic for sure. Very aggressive song indeed. If this song doesn't get adrenaline run through your veins, nothing can.
07. What Else 10
This one's got a repetitive rhythm, but it's so good that it doesn't bother me - in fact this is the thing which makes this song brilliant. And the drums which start the song: WOW! And when the solo comes: this isn't pop music. This is heavy metal! The solo in a way cuts the song the same kind of way as the solo in Metal Heart. (i.e. solo is in the main role). The idea is the same kind of as in Metal Heart the emphasis is on the solo, except that the playing of the drums makes the solo more powerful. It's like an explosion! And then the song continues! What a musical ingenuity!
08. Stone Evil 10
This has oriental melody. The bridge part of the song brings to mind AC/DC's For Those About To Rock song. The chorus part reminds of Metal Gods by Judas Priest. This works very well when played live.
09. Bad Habits Die Hard 10
Now we have a AC/DC-like song again. I know Metalheart likes this one... This has groove, man!
10. Prejudice 10
We solve our problem with a kick in the face! This is typical Accept song brought to the 1994. I still regard this as a modern song also as lyric-wise. This has also got pounding drums! Accept were always very up to date band as far as lyrics are concerned. And sometimes ahead of the state of affairs.
11. Bad Religion 10
Straight forward metal song! This has marvellous drumming once again (in fact quite typical of Accept). I really like the part before the solo where Udo sings OOh and there is this fantastic team job with guitar, drums and the bass.
12. Generation Clash II 9
This is a modern version of the Accept classic Generation Clash. The guitar sound is straight from the gutter. Peter must enjoy of playing this song particularly. It was and still is fun to hear Udo singing this song! Let's make a comparison: compared to Udo David Reece is a quireboy!
13. Writing On The Wall 10
This song sends shivers down to my spine. Typical Accept ballad. Fantastic, when I heard this song for the very first times, there were tears in my eyes. Maybe it would have been better not to say that. This song shows the capabilities of Udo as a singer. He's marvellous in expressing feelings with his voice. Another example of this is Amamos la Vida on O.O.
14. Drifting Apart 7 & 15. Pomp And Circumstance 7
These are good instrumentals. Pomp And Circumtance is from Elgar (if I recall correctly and he was an Englishman).
ACCEPT - Predator
01. Hard Attack 10
This again reminds of AC/DC. Solo is great. Good guitar work!
02. Crossroads 10
Great duetto with Peter and Udo. I just hope it would have continued through the whole song. This has great guitar playing! This osng also has some oriental influence. The ending of this song is beautiful. I am just remembering the live versions of this song! Great, great!
03. Making Me Scream 5
Quite average song! I loved the live version, but this studio version is little bit dull...
04. Diggin' In The Dirt 4
Is there a grunge influence or what? I don't know what it is, but this song is bad. Come on Accept guys, why this kind of dirt!!! Solo has some attitude, but that's it!
05. Lay It Down 8
I actually like this song. This song is growing and growing and the solo is great. Peter is singing well in this one. Just wonder what kind of song this would have been with Udo's singing.
06. It Ain't Over Yet 5
Just hope it would be over, this song I mean. I don't know but I get some kind of Led Zeppelin or hippie feeling from the song.
07. Predator 7
Vanize has a better version of this. This song still has its moments. Feeling of this song is quite oppressive, so the song name and the feeling are well fitted together.
08. Crucified 7
Solo is good. Quite fast song, but something is missing. There are many, many better Accept songs than this one.
09. Take Out The Crime 9
Now we're talking! This song has layers and depth.
10. Don't Give A d**n 9
Good rocker! Some kind of ZZ Top feeling...I like ZZ Top. Rich And Famous also has this kind of rock attitude.
11. Run Through The Night 8
Pretty okay song. Good feeling in this one. Solo is beautiful but way too short.
12. Primitive 7
Actually I have started to like this song. I don't like the computerized drums on this one though. Bass line on this song is marvellous. The bass line is on the surface of the song like it is on Generation Clash. Ha, ha, my parents' dog didn't like this song. She started to howl when she heard this song. ;D It is because of the guitar sound in some places. Guitar playing is also cool on this one. Guitar solo reminds me of Joe Satriani's playing. And I really like Joe's guitar playing in the early days of his career.
So that's about it. Here are my reviews! I think many people don't share my opinions of these albums. So it should be! It would be pretty dull if there wouldn't be different opinions. Finally I got this done. It was a long project!
01. X-T-C 10
Nice rocker with a little bit of commercial sound but still great! Good vocals on this one and guitar solo is marvellous. Way to go Wolf! ;D
