So how and what do you eat and drink? You must eat something, right.
Since I am diabetic(First type) and also have IBD (=inflammatory bowel disease). I'll have to think what and how to eat. Well, I think everyone has to. However 'cause IBD affects my world, I do not necessarily eat the healthiest way according to the norms. Why? Because I need to avoid high amount of dietary fibre or I can eat that kind of food and lots of it, but then I would have to move to toilet.
Person who has diabetes should eat high dietary fibre food. Well, IBD does restrictions to that. I've decided to go firstly thinking about IBD, because that is what has made my everyday life hard sometimes. Couple of days ago I visited dietician. First I told her what kind of food I am not able to eat - at least not much - and that I do not use diary products, or if I do - I do it very seldom (ice-cream, cheese) and I do not drink milk.
Alrighty, to my normal day routine. In the morning I drink coffee and eat some sandwiches and occasionally oatmeal. I also take the medicine and drink water/mineral water. Then during the day I may take a snack etc. Mainly I eat three times a day (3 meals) (skipping lunch or dinner). And if I like I can drink coffee almost in any time of the day. Funny thing: at christmas time I ate 4 meals per one day and gathered 5 kg:s extra weight during the holiday time.
I am not going into more details about my eating, but I did get some good advice from the dietician. If there was some food she suggested and I didn't like it (from one or the other reason), she had a good alternative. My problem is the high cholesterol and that was the reason why I went to see a dietican in the first place. Now I try to include for example olive oil to my regimen/diet and also more vegetables. One of the suggestions was all kinds of nuts. And even a little amount of nuts per day helps. And that little amount of nuts do not do harm to my colon.
Well, that's about it.
