well, i've done it to myself again. we were going to go horseback riding tuesday afternoon and my horse bucked me off just as i was pulling away from the step. it was my fault, not the horse. i either had the saddle to far forward, or something was under the saddle pad or the cinch. anyway, she took about 3 steps and just started bucking furiously so something was hurting her. i tried to time it so i could jump off but didn't do so well. i landed flat on my back. it knocked the wind out of me and also fractured my pelvis on the same side as my hip replacement. luckily that hardware didn't move or anything. so here i sit, in bed now for the next few days waiting for this swelling and soreness to go away enough to be able to walk again. i'm back on my walker but can't lift my leg enough to even get out of bed yet. this is day 2, or 3 depending on how you look at it. luckily since i'm working from home now, i don't have to take any sick days. i just stay in bed with my laptop. fukk me, i just can't get a break in life... except for my bones!

Yeah, this has got to really be getting in the way of your flipping cars and tossing 300 pound stones around...

Awful to be deprived of such simple, everyday enjoyments.

well, i'm using a walker or a cane to walk. i can take a few steps without them but not many. but i'm getting better and stronger every day. fukk, this was a LOT of pain. i do not recommend it. i still have about 6 - 8 weeks to go before i can consider it fully healed.

Whatta heck? Bicycle incident? are you OK? I climbed on the top of chipboard box. I was installing cord which opens the balcony glasses. And then suddenly the top board of that box broke and I hurt my leg. The wound is still bleeding a litle for about two days already. That chipboard box have endured a person more heavier than me before, but on Tuesday it did not.

Ugh... That heavier person was luckier than you or a miracle happaned. Or he knew better where to step. The back side of these cheap furnitures are usually nailed only. As I see on the picture that could be the weak point.
