I would recommend to all of you to check out the new Beast In Black album From Hell With Love! I was not a fan of their debut despite it had two great tracks: Zodd The Immortal and The Fifth Angel. I was open minded when checking their new effort out. The first impression: what an earth disco music this is? After the shock I started to listen to Yannis singing and Anton's & Kasperi's guitar playing. It took a while, but now I really like the symbiosis of disco music and power metal. I have also started to like that Greek singer's voice. He seems to be a multi-talented guy all in all. Musically they have combined metal and disco music in a fluent way. I really fell in lowe with Beast In Black now. www.hardwiredmagazine.com/beast-in-black-review-2019/?lang=enThis sure is not for everyone, but if you like 80's music, 80's feel in music, you might enjoy this album.

i always considered Battle Beast to be the mixture of disco and metal too, so it sounds like that is what anton keeps wanting to do. i've seen their drummer's videos of him playing the songs. he's really friggin good! one thing i do miss in this band is that kasperi still doesn't get a chance to shine as much as i'd like him to. he quickly became one of my favorite guitarists when he was in udo, but in this band, he doesn't get to stand out at all and there just isn't enough of him on the recordings for my taste.

Beast in Black. My favourite active Finnish band. Not too far from being my favourite active band at the moment after the big duo (Accept, U.D.O.) have gone trough big line up changes.
The drummer, Atte, is awesome! Yanis is incredibly skilled singer, Anton has ability to do catchy songs, Kasperi takes care of good solos.
I do like Boney M for some reason (love it who they made disco with real instruments) so mixing disco and heavy metal is really nice to listen to! π

Oh yes...Beast In Black has a good mix of both of the worlds. However if one hates the kind of disco BIB is using, I can understand one's dislike. When there was the early days of Battle Beast and Anton Kabanen, they were in mikseri.net site before having a record deal. I visited there: Anton had there this metal song side, then there was also that disco side of him. I say there was something really disturbing disco effect music there, I mean really weird! Now I think Anton has found a perfect mix of both of the worlds! No, there is no weird things left...at least not that much! Beast In Black is his life now as I see it. I think and at least to me Beast In Black is really close of playing perfect music. I myself liked 80's music and maybe even back in those days a little hint of disco effects (Abba and maybe even Boney M). No i only had metal/hard rock albums but could not avoid disco in the restaurants or in the media (TV and radio). So 80's music...good and the bad is in a some way in my veins. I love the guitar playing in Beast In Black. I love the whole package. I must add also that in my world I have won big time: there is Beast In Black and then there is Battle Beast. Some people put those two bands against each other. I do not! Now I am having twice or 1,5 times more good music from those Beast camps. It also seems that these two bands operate in a slightly different areas. For example on the upcoming BB album there will be a real string section, some operatic singing by Noora etc.

i need to check it out more. i really want to like this band. i don't know what's holding me back. i love kasperi, and the drummer is friggin awesome. i'm not sure if it's the voice or if it's a perception of anton's ego?!? i'm just not sure.
ok, i'm listening to the full album on youtube right now. i can tell you what my problem is with it. it's not heavy enough at all. it's the same problem i have with the battle beast album. it's way more keyboard and "dance" or "disco" oriented than i can tolerate. there are some moments of metal here, but the over-all drum sound is wimpy and not metal. the keyboards are way too much. the girly voice totally turns me off. sorry, i really want to like them because of kasperi, but i just can't. i don't dislike them, i just am not going to buy it.

Well, I did have the same kind of problems with Beast In Black and their debut album. I mostly like the guitar playing on this new album and to me that keyboard aspect brings some additional melody to the music. It was after their second album that I started to like also the debut.
People look for different things in music. There is plenty of music out there and sometimes some music just does not appeal to oneself. And that is okay. Even if the musicianship is in top form it does not always realized into good music in one's mind.
For example the band Rage has a great musicianship, but their music just somehow misses something that would make the band excellent for me.
