So now here's a new poll. It is concerning the Accept ballads from the early days 1978 - 1981. Which song is your favourite?

This was easy to me. CanĀ“t stand the night. No any weak spots in that song. Great atmosphere.

Is it 1 ballad with Udo singing vs 4 ones of Baltes ? All 4 are bound to fail and the one and only is the winning team.
To me they all are great , touching and giving a message. But if the talk is about metal ballades, i really cant stand the night.
Udo ! Udo ! Udo !

I didn't think about that there is Baltes vs. Udo combat in this chart also. Good point, Stas. But I do like all those ballads despite the singers.

Can't Stand the Night without any doubt. Udo is on fire in that song. It was great to hear it on the second Dirkschneider tour.

yeah, CSTN is an incredibly powerful ballad because of the vocals.

Can't Stand the Night is my favourite Accept song period, not just my favourite ballad. This was definitely the best moment for me from the last Dirkschneider gig. Udo sounded great too, I was afraid he wouldn't pull it off anymore, but he pretty much managed. So much emotion and pain in those vocals, amazing lyrics too. I don't know if y'all have heard it already, but there's a beautiful cover of it on Youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-84eBBmRjQ. Not comparable to the original, but it gives the song a new feel.
Having said that, I like all the others too. And Best Ballads is an amazing compilation (and it has some U.D.O. songs too).
