puuuuh.... i hope stefan is well and first of all i wish him all the best. beside all the critics he was the phenomenon duo with udo. he is for all time my favourite drummer and no one will be in accept playing like him. i did like his acting on stage and i did like the influence he had in songwriting for accept the the earlier u.d.o. in my opinion the last 2 albums are not soooo good; i like mastercutor. a song just as "wrong side" shows how different the songs could be and how interesting the band and stefan are able to write songs... and the fact that he will be working still in the background could be once again very important for the band... he had influences on all albums; the (by the way) weakest last two but also on the strongest albums!!!! maybe he is now able to sit back and give his ideas to the songwriting, to a guitar duo that writes creative songs with solid U.D.O/ACCEPT trademarks that blows away anything....
i wish him all the best with not a second of bad thoughts...
andy susemihl would be cool!!! mathias is too much in his job i think and very succesful with it... andy knows how to write songs in the style of U.D.O. and ACCEPT, he is still in the buisness and has a huge technical knowledge. he is a very talented guitarplayer and songwriter and would be the best choice in my opinion...

Hi again guys!!
After reading your posts and thinking about it some minutes during the day... I'd think a good replacement; in case Don Dieth wouldn't join U.D.O. again (please, do it!!!!) would be:
0. Mathias Dieth or Andy S. (above all!! so... it starts in 0 LOL)
1. Markus Becker (he should be the ONE in case is still in the business and in case Andy or Don, would join U.D.O. again. This guy knows how to fit in a band like U.D.O., Vanize was half U.D.O. half Accept... I still remember "Bootliker" and wow guys, that album is IMPRESIVE... songs are cool and solos are just... PERFECT!!)
2.Manny Schmidt (Remember this guy from Rage and Grave Digger? This is another great talented guitar player that still is in the busines with some 2nd line bands. This would be a perfect choice for U.D.O. as well; he is a great song writer and a terrific guitar player. He also is in a good mood on stage anytime; he's a good guy).
3. Any other? Well I think another choices would be some guitar players from the german heavy metal old school... you know, there are hundreds of names to list here...
Those are my options... I don't wanna hear about Uwe Lulis... I've met twice over here in Spain during his Grave Digger and all I have to say is: Uwe... you are a ... Well, better not saying it. He is the worst guy meeting fans. Never met a guy so insolent than him. No Uwe!! He's not a cool guy as the rest of all that played in U.D.O.

OMG, Jerry we agree again! Uwe Lulis would be great! But Markus Becker would be more into the traditional UDO metal. Ofcourse Uwe Lulis wouldn't be a bad choice.

I like to read these posts. Even those who don't like Stefan as a producer wish him the best. That's the .U.D.O. Fan Forum spirit!

I haven't written any best wishes... Oops...but naturally I hope everything will be fine at the end. However it can be easily seen that Stefan's back is not in order while he was playing. I must also say I liked him more as a drummer, but that doesn't mean I didn't like him as a guitarist. He was quite clever with guitar riffs.

Neither I wrote positive things But of course I wish him the best. He was a big part of the story - but I think it's time for him now to stay away from .U.D.O.
