dude, i've been patient for over 12 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
during that time i've found bands like Lechery, Primal Fear, Sabaton, Accept is back, Sinner, Axxis, Turisas, Anvil is back, Zan Clan, Beautiful Ceatures, Astral Doors, Gotthard, Lordi, Steel Panther, Iron Savior, Peer Gunt, Bullet, Murderer's Row, No Respect, and i've started Vykyng....
remind me again why i need to be patient and wait around for u.d.o. to come out of pre-school and stop fukking around with clowns and robots and a sound world that gives me a headache within 2 minutes of listening and songs that show no creativity or meaning and backup vocals that cover up the greatest vocalist in the history of heavy metal's voice? not to mention the fake drums and the worst guitar sound on the planet which 400 swarms of bee's can't even imitate because bee's they don't have reverb, chorus, and flanger built into them.

I think the wait is over right away if the next album producer is Michael Wagener. No other producer has the "authority" to Udo...well, yeah Kaufmann has, but I do not count him as a real metal music producer.

Well, he would have been the producer of Rev-Raptor, but he was busy with music production (!) back then. You know, that's at least how Udo answered to my question some moons ago. Ha, ha...should we write a letter to mr. Wagener and ask him to rescue U.D.O. from tech-NO-metal sound back to metal sound?

i vote for no. as you know i like all new era cd`s UDO. Only covers can be better and no mascots. this not Iron Maiden show. This is heavy metal!

Do you really like the soundworld, fake drums, distorted guitar etc? I also like the 2nd era UDO stuff (not Mission, not Dominator, not Rev-Raptor though), but have got enough with the sound world. Dominator would be a great album, but the sound world makes it almost impossible to listen to, at least for me.
I can speak for myself that I would like to hear the drummer really drumming and capture that onto a record and to hear more natural sounding guitar instead of that industrial Rammstein-wanna-be stuff.

Yes, it is hard to believe that old Metalheads like for example Pawel really like this plastic stuff

Yep guys... If the patience brings us Wegener... we all shall be saved by a true metal producer!! I hope that a REAL metal producer can take the U.D.O.'s new direction to a true metal sound, or, i'm afraid, our "little man" will release more of this kind of metal-craptor sound CDs Despite of the sound, I have to say that I love Dominator and Mastercutor (If we forget about the production... some songs are really nice).

As for my part it is peculiar that I like Mastercutor the most of U.D.O. albums... ;D I don't know somehow I like the soundworld on Mastercutor, in some parts it is annoying though. However the songs are mostly my cup of tea. Then again I hate that Clown song and regard that as the worst UDO song. Master Of Disaster is a song I don't like either. If only they had replaced those songs with Man A King Ruler and Streets Of Sin. As I posted in another thread: the drumsound on Mastercutor is really close to the live drumsound and that can be mainly the reason why I don't find Mastercutor sound bad as a whole. Dominator had a really strange soundworld which got really annoying with Rev-Raptor. Celebrator seems to continue the downhill...

If people want to know about Michael Wagener and about how close it was for Udo to move to the states too, you can read about it here: www.michaelwagener.com/html/bio.htmlI didn't know that Don Dokken took Michael Wagener to live in his apartment for a short period of time. And I didn't remember that thanks to Udo Michael Wagener did some live concert mixing for Accept. No wonder why the Accept live sound was great in the early 80's.
