For me the main question was- how could nations calling themselves civilised and even Christian turn to such pridefull wars? Like spiders in the bottle.
I can mention a great German film "Stalingrad" of 1993 - a good view.
Herman Hoth was a well- known armor General of Wehrmacht.
His troops were thrown away from Moscow in 41, then he failed in rescue of 6th army near Stalingradin in 42, then he was beaten under Kursk in 43. After which he lost his duty and was left in reserve ( close to being fired) . In 45 He was captured by Americans.
This General was not so lucky but oustanding and well- known for sure as military specialist.
I can mention another person - Vogel Ian Ianovich ( son of Ian). Born in Latvia probably in family of Latvians and Germans, he became a Soviet armor general and burned in his tank in attack in 1944.

And Russia couldn't make Finland as their own country at the WWII. With that enormous amount of soldiers...
Sabaton has made two songs about this: White Death and Talvisota.

Thanks , Mika, I will listen it for sure. As I know Sweden promised to help Finland in this war, but helped only by volunteers and some weapon. As for the number of soldiers- Soviets and Finns showed great courage killing each other but just number of soldiers can do nothing against machine guns , artillery , and tanks. These wars were wars of motors. To win a war a country must have modern weapons not only advantage in number of soldiers. Its very good that now Russian and Fiinnish histiricians come to mutual view based on true facts. For instance book of Olli Vehvileinen and Alexander Chubarian "Winter war 1939-1940 " . A book of Timo Vihaveinen released in Finnish and in Russian as well. And I can mention some other not Russian authors. To put it brief, Sovier Union demanded guarantee of Finland neutrality in possible war between Germany and Soviet Union. The 1st proposal of SU was a fle t base and a change of lands. Finland considered such demands too strong. For USSR it was a real neccecity because nazis treated Russians, Polishes, Ukrainians, Belorussians, all the slavs as a downrace. The negotiations took place for a half a year- the final proposal of SU was to change Finnish lands near Leningrad for a twice bigger Soviet land and in Karelia. This proposal was rejected. So the war began - probably after Soviet provocation. If we turn to 1944- when Soviet army broken 3 years blocade of Leningrad by Germany and Finland, they just demanded Finland to remove German troops out of Finland , not more. Finland did it and peace treaty was signed in the before-the war- line. In fact I see no evidence that USSR wanted to occupy or to annex Finland. By all means there are no documents with such plans. >>I see the reason of WW1 and of its sequel WW2 in another sphere. World power wanted to crush Europeans monarchies to spread international power on Europe and worldwide. They wanted europeans to kill each other. But its europeans ( and Russians as well) who is guilty. World power ( I can call it PYRAMID) didnt pull the trigger- they just sponsored elections and selled weapons. The reason is pride of europeans. How can somebody come to foreign land to enslave , sorry, to export democracy , if he think that all people are brothers? Pride leads to falling of morality, then to atheism, them to propaganda of perversion. Then to Sodom and Gomorra and to Armageddon.

Again I faced the thing that people don't realize what a great bass guitar player Peter Baltes is. Don't those people have ears/hearing left at all! This pisses me off...Today I read a dumb ass answer: Peter is soloing because there is no Udo. ;D Not because he has something to offer. Oh my God!

Accept has been for 4 weeks in top 50 album list in Finland. And as you know how big name Marilyn Manson is worldwide, even that band didn't reach as high position as Accept. Then there is one Finnish female artist who is on TV and magazines and newspapers all the time and has BIG publicity, and she reached only the same position as Accept at first week. This tells how well Accept manages in Finland. The only problem is that there is no publicity for Accept in Finland even though they sell well. I think that's the main reason why Accept don't draw so many people in Finland to the gigs. People not using the internet don't have a clue that Accept is having two gigs in Finland. Some people in Finland didn't even know that Accept is back. Just imaging how big sales they would do then, in Finland.

our genre of music has always been the bastard child dude. even though Accept sells well, the media refuse to acknowledge it.

Well, they do appraise WASP and Helloween in Finland, even though they sell worse than Accept. Funny thing about Unisonic: they play the title song all the time in Finnish radio and that band was only two weeks in the top 50 charts here. Another funny thing: I happened to hear Accept-Stalingrad on a local radio station and they cut off half of the song.

Well, Accept should be played much, much, more in Finland. It is one of top international metal bands in Finland, behind Metallica and Iron Maiden.
