and others, like me who have been fans of UDO since 1987 and have had to watch this band go from being a very credible band that mattered down to being what it is now, are pissed off about it because it seems like it would be so easy to fix. but it's the new mindset of UDO. us traditional old school fans don't want to "get over it". there is no "getting over" watching a metal god fall from grace!

Mika get over it. lots of people like U.D.O. the way they are I like their live playing, but it pisses me off to spend money for Rev Raptor. And more people like U.D.O. as trad metal, not as an industrial metal band. It is good for them who like U.D.O. with their non-metal sound. Music has done its work then for those people. Instead it is not so nice to go to a personal level if someone disagrees or dislikes the new record. Iam a fan since 83 and he hasnt fallen from grace in my mind but whatever keep crying U.D.O. started in 1987. There was not U.D.O. in 1983. And yes ofcourse I know you meant Accept by that. I started to love Accept in 1981. They were the best metal band to me back then and still hold that status.

One of the reasons why I like this forum so much is that here you can say what do you really think. And the majority of the forum don't like the new album. I'm glad if someone likes it, but I am tired of the sound - the drums, the gangvocals and guitarsound. I haven't been fan since 1987, 'cause I was born in 1989, but U.D.O. has been my favourite band with Accept half of my life. That's why it hurts to hear the new album, it isn't that kind of U.D.O. I fell in love with in 2001.

I understand your disapointment, but it dosn't help writing it here every day!! Your statements has reaced Udo and Stefans ears I think. I prefer rev raptor sound over OO.,wish is thin and weak.. And of caurse botn has a better production, But it has many overrated and weak songs,,
Talking about disapointment,,I was sooo disapointed over many of the songs on botn,,the riff on pandemic and new world coming is soo princess and flash...and the refrain on the abuys,,,wtf
My expetations to Wolf were more broken than UDO on rr..
Rev reptor has 4-5 real fillers,,if not for those it is a really hard and great album.
The chior is too much used, but listen to iron maiden and metallica were there is nothing, that I really don't like
Let us few Udo and accept fans stand together and buy their records so they will stay around for a loong time,,And I pretty sure UDO will get a new producer for the next album;)
MAT SINNER is my choise,,just listen to primal fear,,The 3 best metal band around:)

Opinions differ ofcourse. As for my case I love BOTN, all the songs have excellent guitar solos and to my ears it sounds like classic Accept. And it was the first Accept album where I like every song (on the normal digipack version) - not quite the best though, but the most coherent it is for my taste. Restless And Wild is for me the best Accept record.

Well, when it comes to BOTN there are two songs I don't like: "The Abyss" and "Shades of Death". otherwise the album is everything I could ask for - the best drummer on top of it all.
I remember when I got the album and went to my room to listen to it. When Beat the bastards was playing and the solo started I started to smile - this is what I was expecting and I got it.

The Land Of The Free is a song I do not like, but fortunately that song was on a Japanese version.

It's so interesting... Everytime when someone comes here to tell us how much he likes Rev-Raptor, we old-school fans tell that we're glad because there's someone who likes it... And when we talk about our disappointments those who like Rev-Raptor wanna kill us... I don't know who they are, because they don't talk about themselves. They don't introduce themselves... But they probably know me very well, after all they have a decided opinion about me. They know that I'm 13 in mind... They know if I'm a true fan of .U.D.O. or not - but I still know nothing about them...

They know if I'm a true fan of .U.D.O. or not - but I still know nothing about them... I have noticed this increasingly common occurrence as well and really don't appreciate it. It makes this forum more like blabbermouth or news site comment threads as well as the Accept forum, which I don't like to be on as much as this forum precisely for the reason that whenever anyone brings up being a fan of U.D.O., certain folks have to just to crap on them. There's a reason why I have over twice as many posts on this forum as the Accept forum eventhough I love BOTN and am very disappointed by "REV-Raptor". I am happy for the folks that really like "REV-Raptor". Taste is in the eye of the beholder. I would prefer real drums, some more creative and new riffs and clearer, sharper guitars, but I am still a big U.D.O. fan. I am also still a huge Maiden fan eventhough I didn't love "The Final Frontier" (though I think I like the album more than most people here). I feel that I can give my honest opinions here and folks can either agree or respectively disagree and if they choose to debate me on an issue, they can do so respectfully and provide facts to inform their opinions rather than emotions. Please let's keep this forum civil where everyone can share their honest thoughts and opinions without trolling and vindictive attacks.
