It depends on the word and context. For example, in the "REV-Raptor" verse that you point out, Jeno, I would pronounce it "sem-ee". However, if I was talking about an eighteen wheel truck, I would call it a "sem-eye". Of course, I'm not a grammar instructor so don't take my word for it.

Ah, English, a BIG f*ckn language It's funny. English speakers don't think that English is that tough of a language to grasp in terms of rules as opposed to other languages. For example, in German and Russian, and probably other European languages, you have to worry about masculine and feminine forms of pronouns that you don't have in English.

Where is Darren to give his opinion too ? Jeno He has left the forum, again because of one member of this forum. I'll try to coax Darren back onto the forum. We can all be bigger men and women (are there any women on this forum nowadays?) here.

For example for semi-final I would say sem-ee.

For example, in German and Russian, and probably other European languages, you have to worry about masculine and feminine forms of pronouns that you don't have in English. But you have 12 tenses and this fact kills me The sequence of tenses is one of the reasons why your language is so f**king hard for me

It can be both ways. It depends on the context of the sentence you are using.
