but we are the paying public. without us, there is no UDO. hopefully they would see what the fans really want to hear. you know, in the country band i'm in, we play tons of covers. and there are songs that we don't like, but we have to play because the people like them and they respond by dancing, drinking, and of course putting money into our tip jar. if we didn't play the songs that the people want to hear, we wouldn't be around long. we'd be saying things like "we aren't getting any good offers from promoters"!!!

I say "they are the BAND" in their bad sense. If the fans vote songs they like, they will play at the shows, if there are surprises... sorry, "Borderline" is the example.
On the other hand, I agree with ypou point of view, John.

Let's still hope they will realize that fans are important. Maybe they ignore us at the studio, but they must not ignore us at the gig!

Take any tune out of the new Rew Raptor (for instance) and that should already speak for itself: tired and repetitive tunes with really weak solos (the same solos that we've already heard before, many times). And don't even get me started on the silly (noise-to-my-ears) techno drum beat (just listen to the first few beats on Leatherhead for example, I am so disappointed). No wonder many of us want to hear the old good stuff instead.

The situation with the votings is at the moment this kind of in the top 10: Go Back To Hell 4.31 % Blitz Of Lightning 3.92 % Mean Machine 3.92 %Heart Of Gold 3.39 % Timebomb 3.26 % Future Land 3.13 %They Want War 2.87 % Don't Look Back 2.61 %Trip To Nowhere 2.61 % Metal Maniac Master Mind 1.96 % The ones which I voted for are with bold letters.

No wonder many of us want to hear the old good stuff instead. Absolutely true Juho! But I'm still afraid that those old classics will be butchered versions when played by this lineup. For example I really don't like the solos of They Want War and Animal House played by Igor... And I ain't sure if he can play the solo of Powersquad or any other Dieth tunes...
