"He knew that he was not the most timing drummer in the studio"
I will never believe that statement.

Speaking of former U.D.O drummers we also have Stefan Schwarzmann who played in U.D.O before Lorenzo. UDO: Yeah. He said on some interviews that you are not using "real drums" on U.D.O albums but you are using Stefan Kauffman s programmed drums. How much there is true on that statement? UDO: Ha ha ha Let s say it this way. I think he said it a little bit wrong. He knew that he was not the most timing drummer in the studio. What he was doing in a studio he always had a problems with this especially when Stefan Kauffmann was the producer. He was playing the drums but into the computer and Stefan Kauffman he was setting the whole drums together. Stefan kind of fixed his drums all the time and Stefan Schwarfmann was never too happy about that. But I think that at that time I don t want to talk bad things about him, but at that time he has some personal problems back then.... ....He's clean now with everything and he's in a great shape. He had a very bad times but I don t wanna talk about too personal things and it s a past and I don t wanna look back. Full of poope ! Jeno

that's a complete crap statement. why is it then that on any other thing SS did with other bands there wasn't a problem?! face it. the reason u.d.o. use fake drums is laziness. they are so easy to mix. 2 tracks!! 2 tracks instead of 15 or more tracks for real drums. no gates to setup, no compression to set, no eq's. just click and record. total BS. but that's the roxx studio way.

Exactly! I think exactly the same listening to the last few .U.D.O. albums. Don't feel the body of the drums don't feel the leather. What I hear is not more than rhythmic chug And some say this is the real ACCEPT sound... Come on...!

Nowhere near the Accept sound. For one thing UDO songs lack the good guitar solos...

To you 5 or 6 persons in here still complaining about the drum/drumsound I can tell you that it is Mickey Dee of Motorhead handeling the drums on Holy.

then his style suddenly became the same as it was with stefan schwarzmann who, after timebomb, suddlenly played the same style as lorenzo who passed the exact style on to francesco. wow, what luck to find 4 drummers in succession with the exact same playing style and drum sound!

I've heard that too and there was a time I believed, not anymore. I do not remember for example what song it is on Rev Raptor that has exactly the same sound in one part of the drums like in the song Fistful Of Anger. And yes I do not want to listen to RR to find out what song. ;D
And as far Holy goes the drumming is the same old. The drumming sound also the same on Crystal Ball/Majesty albums Kaufmann has produced.
