Tickets bought , hotel booked , work leave booked and travel plans made then you go and postpone !!. Really hope the UK dates are postponed and dont eventually get cancelled.

i feel your pain my brother. i had the same thing happen to me back in 2000 on the holy tour. i flew across the u.s. to see u.d.o. and the shows that i had tickets for were all cancelled but there was no warning about it at all. i didn't find out until after i'd flown 2000 miles to see them. luckily they had a great manager at the time and he got me hooked up a few months later when they came back to the u.s. on my side of the country. i'm forever indebted to frank T. for that!

At least its a UK show this time , in August we booked up to see the Aerosmith/ZZ Top tour in Chicago , tour cancelled (again!) and ended up enjoying 4 days at leisure in the windy city. Sometimes I dont think bands have any idea how much their fanbase is willing to spend in order to see them !

And I know another affair which was even more horrible. The one when you travelled a lot to your own Vykyng show and found out that the show was cancelled... By the way just lurked on the .U.D.O. website and checking the last couple of news I found lots of them ending with "postponed" and "cancelled"... What the heck is going on?

yeah, that did suck to show up to the venue and find out that the promoter has cancelled the show. i'm surprised you remember that tomcat!! bart and i had a beer afterward and tried to laugh that whole day off.
i wonder too what is happening. could it be that this tier of metal bands is having a hard time drawing people that getting their price from the promoters? i know it's happening here. the economy is so bad. many shows are cancelled.

I feel your pain Andy. Luckily I've never had that happen to me. Looking at the upcoming year I can only hope none of the great shows in the horizon gets cancelled. Im mainly referring to the Accept, Blaze and Ac/Dc shows.

I dont wish to keep coming down on the UK dates but out of the three venues , two are still showing that tickets are on sale , only London is showing as postponed. The advertising for these shows has been zero in any magazines at least , with only a small listing in the gig calendar in "Classic Rock" which does not hit the shelves for a few more days yet !. If the shows have been postponed due to ticket sales how the hell will anyone buy a ticket if they dont know the show is going on. Poor management or poor promoter ? who knows ??. Its hard enough getting money out of people at the moment but surely half the battle is won by advertising gigs.

Just had an email from the Rescue Rooms (not Rock City !) in Nottingham informing me of a new show date for May 24th. Good news and for once a promise of a "reschedule" has been kept by a band.
p.s. U.D.O. need to get some kind of advertising done for the dates this time here in the UK.

May 24th is a great date for a .U.D.O. show. I saw them in 2004 on that day. It was their ThunderBall World Tour and the show was just amazing! Maybe the best .U.D.O. show I've ever seen
