i'd go see Mathias if he came to the U.S. i like his playing even though i don't like that he pushes his politics a lot these days.

I think that into some extent it is good to express politics in the song lyrics...for example in the cases that there is clearly injustice. But to express something...hmm very authorian defending lyrics or opinions is a wrong way.
Ps. I do not know what Mathias has said.

If someone is criticising say China, I do not see any bad sides in that. Or North Korea...

Just read the news that Tommy Johansson left Sabaton. Reading the news which said "Yesterday, Sabaton's fan base was shaken by unexpected news, their popular guitarist, Tommy Johansson..." I thought he died. Phuck...
Well, my opinion about his departure is that he was way too good and creative for that band.

What I don't like is when musicians stand behind politicians or parties. That can be dividing.

i agree. unless the band wants to promote themselves as a political based band, then they should just "shut up and sing" because i go to concerts and other entertainment events to escape that constant political bullsh*t.

Well, in Accept songs there are quite many lyrics defending human rights, which many countries do not give a d-a-m-n (human rights). I do not mind that kind of political statements in the lyrics at all.

If you happen to be in Helsinki on the 17th of February and you're going to see U.D.O., come say HI! to Mathias Dieth as well. Mathias will perform a set of U.D.O. classics and will host a free meet & greet session early, so everyone who wants to see U.D.O. can do both. In this thingy Mathias says that DatOG ar working on a full album...
