I haven't concentrated about lyrics so much. Two observations: Black and White lyrics does nothing to me. Pleasure In The Darkroom then is a contemporary lyric-wise. It reflects the state of society quite good. I especially like the verse: f u c k the bloody law. It is simple but it tells a lot of the way things are handled nowadays. About Pleasure In The Dark Room it also indicates that with money you can do everything even let your filthy imagination to be true.

That song is about the Reeperbahn (the famous street in St. Pauli, Hamburg). In other words it's about sexual abberations and that kind of stuff. Lyrics-wise it is Walker of the Dark part 2.

Yeppers...I meant also that the lyrics suit also to the macro-level of society. In Finland there were also these so called darkrooms. If thinking some restaurant chains in Finland, with money you can get some kind of membership bonuses and things like that. In other words I find the song lyrics also describing the world today and perversions in it. Blah, blah, lyrics are, if good, nice in that way that you can always take the hermeneutic approach and also realize that things are not black and white. Semiotics is the key to interpret texts or photos...or actually semiotics regard photos, lyrics, movies as texts. You can find symbolism, forms and stuff like that in those art forms.

Yes of course I myself also like this kind of lyrics when you can find something under the surface. For example Winter Dreams is a song like this for me have you file excel of chat ?? viva.voce@tiscali.it emilio Check your mailbox, Emilio!

Yes it is better than Dominator because some of the solos are good enough - not bad. But all in all it's still the same crap and nowhere near to Heavy Metal

I gave it 6 for Dominator...just tired of the sound...the songs Pleasure In The Darkroom, Stillness Of Time and The Bogeyman are the songs I like anymore. Maybe I would like more songs, but the sound has done its work.

Compared to other U.D.O. albums, it's a solid 6/10 in my book. Pros: "Stillness Of Time", "Devil's Rendezvous", "Heavy Metal Heaven" (the song always makes me think of Ronnie James Dio), harmonized guitar solo in "Speed Demon". Cons: "The Bogeyman" (this song does nothing for me' which must be why I dislike "Leatherhead" ), the fake drums, the overly-processed guitar sounds, the gang choruses.
