From September 2009 to April 2010 I´m disappointed with the album in general but perhaps the reason it´s because of Mastercutor is a masterpiece for me. But there are great songs: the bogeyman, speed demon, infected and whispers in the dark. How different can be the opinions!! For example, I like "Dominator" more than "Mastercurtor", which for me is the worst U.D.O. and really only like "Mastercutor", "Vendetta", "One lone voice" and "Borderline" (a bonus track). There are songs really terrible for me, with those "industrial loops" near to Rammstein sound, that´s not for me. "Dominator", without been an incredible album, returns a little to more "classic" sound with songs like "Black & White", "Dominator", "Speed Demon", "Infected", "Doomride"... and a song like "Devil Rendezvous", similar to "Cut me out" from "Holy", different and good. "Stillness of time" sounds similar to Accept´s "All or nothing", very emotive. Anyway, I don´t like very much this actual era, this style of sound that began with "Mastercutor", continued a little in "Dominator" (what will come next, "Executor"? ). I prefer "Thunderball" or "Mission No. X", more classic Heavy Metal. I hope they return to that kind of stuff.

@samu: and in my opinion Mastercutor is the best UDO album. And I am one of the very few who doesn't like Animal House so much. To me Mean Machine is far way better than AH. Mission No X for me is the worst UDO album, the sound world is too polished in my taste and the drum sound is the most computerized in that album. The drum sound is almost the same with Cyberya album which has 100% computerized drums.

@samu: and in my opinion Mastercutor is the best UDO album. AAAAAAAAAAAARGGGGHHHHHHH!!!! ODIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNN!!!!! Brother you kill me in a brutal way!!! ;D I can´t understand why do yo like that album... so industrial and with those songs so "rare" and the electronic loops... ufffff!! Anyway each one with his taste "Animal House" is a masterpiece and it´s a very important album because it was the first, and written by ACCEPT, so it can´t be a bad album!! But my favourites are "Mean Machine" and "Timebomb". And in the second era are "Holy", "Thunderball" and "Mission No. X".

of the first era, i prefer Mean Machine over AH but only because i really consider AH to be the last Accept album. the second era, i like Holy the best although i like to listen to No Limits when i'm doing work around the house then all work stops while Azrael plays. i simply cannot stand to listen to thunderball or mission no. x. i can't even remember the last time i did listen to either of them. but when i'm really in the need for my u.d.o. fix, i always throw in the first era cd's without a doubt. and if i'm in a bad mood and need to relieve some aggression, timebomb is the only cd for me!

TimeBomb is the one from the whole history of the .B.A.N.D. but if I have to name an album from the second era then it is Man and Machine. And I have to defend Mission no. X. At least the sound of the guitars on this one is more "natural" than on the last two albums. And there are some good tunes on Mission: The title track, 24/7 and Mean Streets...

Yes, TIMEBOMB is aggresive and brutal, my favorite in the first era with MEAN MACHINE. About the second era MASTERCUTOR and NO LIMITS.
I think we shall see changes in the next UDO album. Why? Because of the Accept return.

Well, I like the fact that opinions differ. You know, there are so many opinions as there are people on this forum. One of the best features of this forum is that people get along with each other in this forum and respect others' opinions, even though there isn't 100% agreement on everything. And when I was talking highly about Mastercutor I also count the EP songs Man A King Ruler and Streets Of Sin in and count out the two bad tracks. Whether it was band's mistake or record company's fault that they didn't put those two songs mentioned to the album Mastercutor, I would have put those two tracks in.

Well, we mostly agree on the major issues, like Accept and U.D.O. are excellent live bands.

that is very true. hopefully the Accept album will prove to be a driving force in the making of the next great u.d.o. album! Udo : "verdamt, thos fellas have made a great album with only regular disorted guitars and a drummer with a heartbeat, maybe its time to pick up a dictionary, turn down the reverb and actually release some quality stuff and try releasing some quality stuff, not just living on our past fame". I really do hope this is going to turn into a Metallica/Megadeth lookalike affair. If you wanna light a big-ass fire, your gonna need some hardcore fuel, and hate, anger, jealousy... Thats some great freakin fuel. Of course, I dont want the bands to hate eachother, but some b*tch-fighting is good for motivation
