oh my how to put all this down, I HAD A BLAST ! after waiting soooo long to see the man, it was worth every second. I left northern Utah about 9:00 am Tuesday morning, long drive,(500 miles one way) got into vegas about 4:00 or so. met up with my friend that was already in vegas for another expo, took our wives to dinner and made the drive to the venue, we weren't aware the m&g had been moved back so we had to sit in the car for 1/2 hour, no big deal. so got in about 8ish went right up front, the opener was still setting up, they were o.k. their drummer was an aminal. saw sven walk thru the crowd to the backstage area during the openers set, no one even acknowledged him, I thought to at least offer a fist bump but didn't. when they took the stage and I saw udo himself walking up the few steps to the stage, feelings just overtook me and I was off. jumping/screaming/hadbanging, just going crazy, probably embarrassing for a normal person, but at a concert I just can't stand still, and after waiting sooo long I went quite out of my mind. it is amazing a 20+ song set list can go by so fast. I truly enjoyed every minute of it. I truly despise "princess" but I put up with it, and it would be the only song I wish they would drop. midnight mover doesn't come over very well live, but you know to me it doesn't matter, with all that great material 2 songs that are off or I don't care for doesn't ruin the show for me. john, I would have loved to hang and visit with ya, however with my wife back at the hotel room all alone I kida needed to get back, long story, lets just say she don't travel well, hates crowds/hotels/concerts ect. ect. got home wendsay afternoon and basically just went to bed. no worries dude, it was a great pleasure to meet you and get to see you in person!!! i'm so glad you enjoyed the show. i could see the excitement in your face when we were there!!! that's so awesome that after all these years you got to meet Udo and see him perform live. that does my heart good! hope to meet up with you again sometime!!

steve5635.. sorry I didn't get a chance to shake hands. I knew you were coming but failed to exchange the requisite info. Oh well. Next Vegas concert, eh? I would have been happy to shake hands with Sven during the opening act (especially since I didn't much care for them) but since I was sitting at the bench-table (whatever you want to call it) behind the main floor, I didn't even notice him slip in.

Thanks for the reviews, guys, i am pleased to read whole lotta impressions from the first hands. I am just taking them without any rush. One thing i recall reading about the " gig " with 100 visitors is how martin Popov wrote In his book : " after all, Breaker album blew everybody out. I mean those few in North america who knew that it existed" )

i sure didn't know anything about it, and i read all the hard rock/heavy metal magazines back in the day. i didn't know anything about Accept until 1984 when a friend played me a cassette tape that had BTTW on one side, and R&W on the other. i was immediately hooked.

I'm A Rebel album did that to me in 1981 at a local record store. It was the best album I had heard.

Hell, I didn't even find Accept until 2010 and that was from a mention from an interview Herman did on his solo album. Back in 1984, I was busy with Van Halen, Def Leppard, and various '80s synth pop tunes. Didn't get to the heavier stuff until the '90s.

When I was little, when we were traveling in the car (one of the few times my parents had the radio on), when it cam to music, to borrow a line from the film "The Blues Brothers", we listened to "both kinds, country and western" and remember in those days, it was Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson, Tammy Wynette, Dolly Parton, and so on. I've come a LONG way....

That sounds like horror azwayne But my story is not much different. I listened to Modern Talking and Alphaville right before I discovered ACCEPT.

I finished listening "Back to the roots - Accepted". It looks like a real challenge to release it on the same day with rise of chaos. But, like it is was sang by Udo and Louis with strong arms - To think I did all that And may I say - not in a shy way Oh no, oh no, not me I did it my way As for the first impression, it is a very good album. Sven drums better now, TV war is shot well. The material is old but they made some new tricks. Amongst them, Neon Nights. The intro to that song includes two new themes, the first one sounds like like old Nightwish track to me, another is old Soviet war song. And the riffs of Neon Nights and Monster man are played the way that it reminds Fqceless worlds tracks, one of them is Future world. Another interesting moment is that Udo sing clearly. So my mark for the album is - 4 stars, very good.
