Am I the only one having associations with Running Wild when watching the song titles: Hung, Drawn And Quartered, Hellfire, Revolution, Twist Of Hate, The Quick And The Dead and finally Galley.

not bad song. But for political reasons I can't imagine myself headbanging during excerp from Soviet national anthem. Sorry Well, this Anthem was a battle song for Lithunian troops of Soviet Army. For instance, 16-nth Lithuanian infantry division ( more then 10.000 men)- formed of habitants of Lithuania. About one third of Lithuanians, Russians and Jewishes. The generals were Lithuanians or Jewishes... This division participated in battle of Kursk ( "Kursk Arc" or "Citadel" ) . And took great part in Lithuania when they were counter-attacked by 800 tanks in 1944. Finally they paraded in Vilnius.

If peopel respect each other they can talk about all the topics.
In a respectable way.
National view is natural- but if we all are people we can have mutual view as well.

Absolutely right, stas. For example the Soviet Union sent its soldiers to Hungary and they had been here for 40 years... It's some kind of a fashion here to hate Russia for this. Well, I don't have anything against Russian people. I think all the problems in the past were the politics' fault.

Well, national pride hurts nation as personal pride hurt person. Politics are guity- but they can do nothing without people. Its everyone ^s fault for his personal deeds.
As for today- mine and Yours.
People think thats its not their fault. Its a direct connection between European invasion in USSR in 1941 when 20 million died and Soviet bases in Europe to guarantee safety since 1945..
Long before the war Hitler wrote "Mein Kampf" treating slavs as a downrace for heavy work or elimination- not more.

although i haven't read the lyrics of the song yet or really paid too much attention to them yet, we have to remember that this is just a song about what happened and it probably doesn't take one side or another. it just talks about what happened. such as all the sabaton songs. d**n, i can't wait to see sabaton again. anyway, so far i think that with the soviet union music in the song is done tastefully and in a very metal way.

Yes, he could do it in English or German as well.
In fact Scorpions even now are close to Gorbashev, Udo had very good promotion in Russia. May be now its Accept in turn.

It's a very long story But I had on my mind lyrics of Anthem during Soviet period. As you remember, all SU nations had the same music of anthem, but different lyrics. So when I have heard Accept version for first time I remembered "Lenin lit us the path to freedom"

This is so off-topic but the only thing I've learned from lithuanian is "labanaktis"!
