This comment is from AFM - so I ain't surprised. They can't say anything like "Hey dudes don't buy the new .U.D.O. stuff because it is a hat full of $hit."...

Here it is, the forerunner of the new U.D.O. album “Rev Raptor” and it goes by the name “Leatherhead”<<[glow=red,2,300]is there such an expression in the dictionary?[/glow]>>> . The title track is a hot up-tempo song with a strong chorus inviting you to bang your head. The fans will shout along to “Leatherhead” at the top of their lungs at the coming shows. <<<[glow=red,2,300]How do they know it [/glow]>>> The next one, „Rock’n’Roll Soldiers“, goes in the same direction and slows the speed down a tad. The first part of this track captivates with an almost gentle verse which after an accelerating pre-chorus erupts in a classical refrain. Well, aren’t we all Rock’n’Roll soldiers? At least after this song we will all want to be! <<<[glow=red,2,300]Deeply doubt it [/glow]>>> The first „non-album track“ is called „Free Or Rebellion“, starts out unhurried and then explodes into a tight pounder in the style of “The Arbiter” or “Shout It Out”. Including a fantastic “ohhoohoh” part, it’s a shame that “Free or Rebellion” didn’t go on the new album. <<<T[glow=red,2,300]hank God,it's so weak[/glow]>>>That leads to the question how the rest of the album will turn out? An absolute killer song which actually belongs on the coming set list. <<<[glow=red,2,300]Again,If there's no info available, how do we know?? I don't believe it before hearing it ![/glow]>>> “Run!” begins with the sound of a piano, as heard on the last album “Dominator”. After the first verse, the balladic tones are accompanied by drums and bass and turn out to make a great half-ballad.<<<[glow=red,2,300]It is a great song indeed, but not new at all, another skin to be pilled off [/glow]>>> Again, as with “Free Or Rebellion”, the question is: Why only a “non-album track”? Too bad. About the touching solo alone! In addition to the four tracks, there are the video clips „Jingle Balls“ and „Leatherhead“. This EP is their best publicity and sure whets your appetite. Let them surprise us with the complete album. These tasters are a good index of an utterly well done, awesome album....<<<[glow=red,2,300]I DO question about it ![/glow]>>> Jeno

How could it be more disgusting...? In this official statement they're talking about the two songs from 2004 as if they would be brandnew tracks... not mentioning the Thundervision DVD. Do they think that we are so stupid?

As leaders of their former band ACCEPT and living legends<<<What were the rest in Accept then???>>>, vocalist Udo Dirkschneider and producer/guitarist Stefan Kaufmann know exactly what they are talking about. They both stood true to themselves and their ideals, all over their career that is lasting for many decades until this day, without ever slowing down,<<<With fading success...and weak releases...>>>

"The only objection I have for this release, something that really spoils the single as a whole is the industrialized (God forbid!!!) sound on the guitars and drums, especially in the first two songs ."

i'm just thankful that the album is released on may 20th and not may 28th. my anniversary is may 28th and i wouldn't want that turd of an album to ruin it!

Here's another one from the Netherlands. Don't know a single word in Dutch but they gave 4 and a half stars of 5 to the EP...

That´s in Spanish, it says "Leatherhead" is the typical song by UDO in the last years, and that is poor and weak. About "RnR Soldiers" it says is very Accept style and about Run that is a good ballad to finish a poor work in general, because UDO should give us much better stuff. At the end it says that he hopes this EP is only a mirage of the album to come

Put that review into the online translator and read something like that. All in all he doesn't like the EP but... How can he write that Rock 'n' Roll Soldiers is an ACCEPT-like tune?

Put that review into the online translator and read something like that. All in all he doesn't like the EP but... How can he write that Rock 'n' Roll Soldiers is an ACCEPT-like tune? I know why. For one thing it reminds me of the song Black And White...only the elements are in different order and the song is more like a recycle version rather than a composition. And at the beginning bass line and drums reminds of I Don't Wanna Be Like You in BAW, so maybe the reflection comes from that in a weird way. BTW, I read another review where the reviewer thought RRS reminded of I Don't Wanna Be Like You.
