Well, Modern Talking had at least good melodies, even though the singing sucked. ;D Depeche Mode on the other hand hasn't got anything good. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) Then again they are British.

Even DM had two songs that I was able to listen to... One of them was the acoustic version of Personal Jesus. The other was Question of... something. I don't remember the title but that song had a cool "riff" - played on keyboards of course - that I liked ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Speaking of British music...I can only stand the pure metal or hard rock bands from that country. Paradise Lost BTW was a Depeche Mode wanna-be at least on one of their records. PL isn't my cup of tea either. ;D Quireboys was another poopty band coming from England...not to mention Marillion. ![:-X](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/lipssealed.png)

No way...that is what I just said. I do not regard Quireboys as proper hard rock or Marillion. Depeche Mode is not even hard rock and they come from England - so I do not like them either.

Depeche Mode (pronounced /dɛˈpɛʃ/, de-PESH) are an English electronic music band which formed in 1980, in Basildon, Essex. The group's original line-up consisted of Dave Gahan (lead vocals), Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, vocals, chief songwriter after 1981), Andrew Fletcher (keyboards) and Vince Clarke (keyboards, chief songwriter 1980–81). Vince Clarke left the band after the release of their 1981 debut album, Speak & Spell, and was replaced by Alan Wilder (keyboards, drums) with Gore taking over songwriting. Wilder left the band in 1995 and since then Gahan, Gore, and Fletcher have continued as a trio.
Depeche Mode have had forty-eight songs in the UK Singles Chart and #1 albums in UK, US and throughout Europe. According to EMI, Depeche Mode have sold over 100 million albums and singles worldwide,[1] making them the most successful electronic band in music history.[2] Q magazine call Depeche Mode "the most popular electronic band the world has ever known".

Chart positions don't necessarily have anything to do with the band's musical abilities. Now there's something to learn about how to market a product. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

so you're saying that if Accept and U.D.O. were to hang it up, you'd move to england because there is more you'd like in the whole world than to be taken in by a camp of travelling english rock gypsies?!
