yep. we are living proof that HDL!!!! for so long we suffered through that -tor era. now the man is back with a real band playing real metal. It wasn't only TOR era which wasn't so good. For instance you and me didn't like Mission No X album at all. Thunderball wasn't so coherent album, even though it had its moments for my taste.

I actually consider the -tor era to be anything after Holy. Because that's when kaufmann really started to take over the band and Udo became "just the singer" in his own band. Things started going downhill fast after that. That's my personal opinion.

Tomcat, thanks for a great work and for keeping blood of the forum hot ! But this time no need for pessimism - our hopes for UDO 's arise from the ashes came true. You're welcome stas! By the way, I sent some three or four different forum logos to John this summer. It's his turn when he changes them So it isn't that I'm pessimist, it's just John's choice

yeah, i have 4 of them to choose from and try to make changes every 2,3, or 4 weeks. it's really the only thing i can do to keep the forum looking "fresh". other than changing colors, but this scheme seems to work pretty good. it's easy to read and doesn't give you a headache to look at it!

And I do not find hope dies last one bit pessimistic. BTW, I do have high hopes for the next UDO album. Just waiting for Kasperi and Andrey working together.

To me " hope never dies " is much more optimistic Next album - the best name for it is to be - KILLER ! I can't still forget how rhythmical such songs like " Future land" sounded - guitars cut time and air like scissors , ACDC- like, and all the crowd sang a hitting refrain- " Don't take me to tomorrow , don't take me to the future land" , it what I never heard before. And new arrangement of " Mean Machine" shows that bands is in great composition form.

To me " hope never dies " is much more optimistic Alright, now I got it. Never to die is more optimistic than to die last.

Exactly, Mika. As we talk about it I will mention a joke how pessimist and optimist argue. Pessimist : " The situation is so bad that it will not become worser". Optimist : " Dont worry, the situation still can become worser". Yes, sometimes its hard to understand who is pessimist or optimist . They joke, " pessimist is a well- informed optimist"

yeah, hope dies last it 100% optimistic. meaning that even when everything else is dead and gone, there's always still hope for something better. maybe Hope Dies Last should be the next album title!
