Thought I would start a thread. Here you may ask a fellow UDO fan anything. They may not answer but why not ask?

Metalheart, What are Kippis and Skal? It means "Cheers" in Swedish and Finnish Jeno That's right! "Kippis" is Finnish, "Skål" Swedish. Anyone of you ever swam in a frozen lake/see? The reason for me asking that is that winter at last arrived in Finland and I'm looking out the window. Below 0 C finally in January (that's something like below 33 Fahrenheit).

During last night it was something like -10 degrees but it was very windy. Last year the temperature was at coldest somewhere minus 25 - 27 degrees for a week, but last night it felt colder because of the hard wind. I have not gone to the lake during winter, because I have some rheumatic problems. My girlfriend Virpi goes swimming in the winter time in a hole which is in a lake.

when i was 16 or 17 my dad and i joined "the polar bear club". they are a group of idiots that cut a giant hole in the ice in lake erie and jump into it. it was one of the craziest things i've ever done! it was a lot of fun, but i'd never do it again. some people went in naked which i thought was a good idea because when i got out of the water, the worse part was how cold my bathing suit was on my skin.

Hey John, these good folks in Europe, Scandinavia, and Russia definately know what cold is. I spent 2 years on a S.A.M. sight on a mountain top in what was then West Germany in the 80's. I remember MANY nights below 0 F. That kind of cold chills you to the bone. It sure was beautiful over there though. That missle sight had a view that was incredible.

"I wonder if it is "Titties and Beer". I guess I was half right. Kind of. Kippis to all, Terence Anyone of you ever swam in a frozen lake/see? The reason for me asking that is that winter at last arrived in Finland and I'm looking out the window. Below 0 C finally in January (that's something like below 33 Fahrenheit).
