Thunderstone - Evolution 4.0 so, was it worth of buying? I listened just Saxon's The inner sanctum.

Thunderstone - Evolution 4.0 so, was it worth of buying? I listened just Saxon's The inner sanctum. Oh yes it is. This is quite tight sounding metal and it has got melody, too. Guitar playing is great, drumming is brilliant and the singing is powerful and not light weight. Maybe I make a review out of it on the 80's rocks forum.

Actually, Saxon is one of those bands that slipped through my fingers back in the day. I don't know why really, maybe it's time to check 'em out. Any suggestions where to start? I've understood that the latest album rocks, but other than that? Suggestions welcomed not only from you, Rikke, but from all the board members!

I really like Innocence Is No Excuse and Lionheart albums. However not all forum members like Lionheart. Solid Ball Of Rock is also pretty good.

Well, I haven't listened Saxon enough, but "Heavy Metal thunder" is great. On that album Saxon plays their biggest hits again. Very tight package!

The Blues Brothers - Made in America
I like to listen to blues always once in a while, and these guys are really good.

The Blues Brothers - Made in America I like to listen to blues always once in a while, and these guys are really good. Yeah, for me it's been all metal the past week, but I totally see your point. It's cool to listen to something else once in a while. Sometimes I put on The Doors or Ulf Lundell, just to get some variation.

And the contrast makes you notice things you probably wouldn't notice otherwise!
