Cool that the gig was great. I just wonder why the setlist is so short. We are used to have a setlist which lasts over two hours. ;D

Hi guys! Hi Mika and Metalheart! It was the forth time I went to Moscow to see U.D.O. live and once again I wasn’t a bit disappointed. U.D.O. is a great live band and they thoroughly proved it last Friday. Even on a small stage of the club called “Tochka” they looked awesome. As always, they were conscientiously doing their job, playing songs with noticeable enjoyment. Since last year’s tour they’ve started performing more their own songs. I believe it was the right decision because the band itself has got a wide repertoire. There was a pair of funny episodes during the show. While the band was playing “Platchet Soldat”, which lyric is all in Russian, a girl climbed up the stage. When a security guy tried to take her away Udo as a true gentleman hugged her, kissed her cheek and then they sung a chorus and a verse together. Another time Udo gave an opportunity to be a back vocalist to a huge guy. As far as I remember it happened during “Poezd Po Rossii (Trainride in Russia)”. As the weighty guy dove from the stage I felt sorry for those he landed on. By the way, I should admit Russian fans often show lack of respect toward each other and sometimes even musicians. Constantly some of the fans tried to get to the stage closer, pushing others aside; my shoes suffered much from people jumping up and down, some fans having climbed up the stage didn’t think that they disturbed musicians embracing them while they’re playing and so forth. I’d expected “Trainride in Russia” to be a final song of the show but afterwards Udo asked if we wanted some more. So playing “Burning” turned out to be a big surprise for me and it was the first time I’d heard it live. And at the end of this short report I’d like to say that I’m looking forward to seeing U.D.O. in Moscow next year. P.S.
