i just saw on facebook that tilen has left the band ...
"After 3 albums and worldwide live performances with both U.D.O. and Dirkschneider I decided that it's time for me to pursue other interests in the metal world. Thanks to all the fans all over the world and good luck to the band on all future endeavors."

So is it Peter then, what do you think?

Frankly, I am not terribly surprised by this news and expected it as soon as I saw that Peter was filling in for the remainder of the "Game Over" tour. It's unfortunate as I thought Tilen is a great bass player and his tone and style seemed to fit the band, particularly on "We Are 1." It will be interesting to see where he lands as well as who will take over with U.D.O./Dirkschneider after this tour ends. I don't think Peter will be the ongoing replacement though who knows.

i expected this too. does anyone else find it strange that members leave for some sort of "personal" or "family" reasons but and most continue on with other bands and stay active in the metal music scene? it just adds to the frustration with the management as to why everything always has to be some sort of secret or half-truth. but whatever. i thought this was going to happen as soon as i saw peter taking over the bass duties. i'm also willing to bet he continues on as the full time guy. i could be wrong. we'll see.

Agree with you, John, that it seems strange that someone leaves because they aren't interested in extensive touring only to tour extensively with their new band. Not that this is the case here, though Tilen was reportedly burned out, the band was touring extensively, and they were about to embark on an extensive European and Latin American tour. The reason why I don't think Peter will be the permanent replacement was because Udo and others (though interestingly not Peter himself that I'm aware of) said that Peter was no longer interested in touring, and that he was only temporarily filling in. Plus, did Peter move back to Europe because wasn't he living in Pennsylvania? Of course, none of that may be the case, and he may end up being the permanent replacement. It would be fitting for Udo to ultimately retire playing in a band with Peter, his son, and maybe a final show that has Stefan and Hermann joining on stage for a few songs just for old times' sake.

Well, not wanting to state that, "I'm leaving because my fellow band mates are all a bunch of f'n a**holes and I'm sick of dealing with them!" isn't exactly going to make you any friends. The old saw about not burning your bridges behind you. You now that K.K. Downing has never said why he left JP. To me, that says that he didn't want to disrupt the band any more than he had to by causing a controversy over his departure.
I also had not known that Peter relocated. Last I knew, he had just moved to Nashville, presumably to be closer to the center of operations.

Hmm...Peter said somewhere that all the songs that he has co-composed are the songs that he actually played In We Are One. I think that those songs are quite Peter's style of playing. And I think that in Datog the bass playing is very similar that is in many We Are One songs. Example: But at the same time I'll have to say: I saw UDO with Tilen and his playing at least reminded me of Peter's playing. Hungry and Angry is a good example:

Hungry and Angry is a good example: I believe Fitty played on all the "Steelfactory" songs, right? I didn't know Peter recorded any bass tracks on "We Are 1." I thought he just co-wrote those songs with Stefan.

Somewhere Peter said that all the songs he co-wrote he also played in We Are 1.
....yeah, Fitty played on Steelfactory. My mistake, but there is also live clips where Tilen plays.
I do not remember if Peter said that in an interview or on social media when asked about it...

Seems like I was the only one on the whole planet naive enough to really think that Tilen would come back to .U.D.O. Now I'm shocked. I liked that guy a lot! He is intelligent, down to earth, great player and last but not least looked awesome on stage. I still have problems with Andrey's and Dee's stage clothes but Tilen have always looked like a real musician.

« I (!! ) decided that its time to pursue some other interest “-
Dont forget the mirror Look whos behind And dont You come in crying Than its faster going down
But it looks natural as this “castling” Hudrap for Baltes will highly likely enforce UDO.
