I've said this before, but I sure would like to see Udo acting in a movie or in some episode in German police series etc...

such a cool video and they did a great job on that song. so glad that he's making these songs his own and not trying to copy the original so close.

Lirycally its like a sad version of “Metal never dies”.
Words of a man who gave as good as he got, felt himself under heavy rain.
Btw , it is a long echo of “Don’t look back” - “Kien zuruck” ( No way back).
Sometimes I remember my life The wheels’ ve been spinning so long
But at the moment Udo does not say “and still the power goes on and on»… Mostly its over. The mood is dark and grey, life has almost passed by while the main hero does not feel himself happy.
I like that gotic moaning . Vocally its like it reminds me of Rammstein stuff , sang by Udo in his narrow diapasoned tenor and its awesome. I feel the scale of chorus, kazak or any other of them , and its awesome.

Now that it's been out for a while what do you guys think of it?
I have to tell you honestly that it's not my favorite album. Not at all.

definitely not one of my favorites either but it's different enough that it was interesting at first. i'm glad udo did it though since it's what he wanted to do and reflect back on the music that influenced him.

Good songs here and there, but that's about it. I liked for example the Billy Squier hit song version.

I didn't get "My Way" and honestly didn't like what I heard, though I respect Udo for wanting to make an album of covers of songs and artists that influenced him. That said, I found this couple sentence assessment (have to get to the middle of the page to find it) quite harsh: bravewords.com/news/bravepicks-2022-the-scribes-speak-aaron-smallThoughts? Obviously, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and like a certain part of the human anatomy, we all have them.
