I like Steelfactory a lot more than Decadent which was a disappointment to me. In my mind there is not actually any bad new song on Steelfactory. Quality of the "worse" songs is good enough for my taste. Some songs just put some other songs into the shadow. I like the least Rising High, but that isn't actually a song that could be called as bad.

Well, a great hread. I wont give my vote immediately - its like a wine, a good chance to down a shot slowly. How do you like a song “Eraser “ btw ? Is it actually Infected? I mean in fact Infected . To me its the bottom of this album, a filler. But all the rest is awesome. Rising high high , all of my life ! Love it. But I need some time to say what right or wrong and you have to take what you ve got.

I like Eraser a lot, more than Tongue Reaper. At least that Eraser doesn't have that awful chorus like Infected did...I mean the gang vocals in that chorus. So there is no filler there for me. I have read some reviews where the reviewers complain that the album is too long. Those reviewers don't get that as it is with UDO and Accept that the fans don't necessarily like the biggest hits, i.e. among the fans opinions differ quite much what are the best songs. Conclusion: I like when the album is long enough, because that way there is more songs to choose one's faves. In one review the reviewer said that the beginning of the album is great and the end part dull. Hmmm...and I happen to love Rose In The Desert and The Way. It would have been a big mistake to exclude those songs from the album. So as the fans' likes and dislikes vary a lot, it is a good thing have as many songs as possible. If thinking about Iron Maiden, I think every fan thinks highly of Hallowed Be Thy Name, but for example fans of Accept don't think so highly of Balls To The Wall song. I don't know what it is that Accept/UDO fans have so big distribution of what songs to like and dislike.

So,yestoday I made my personal battle : Decadent vs Steelfactory. Firstly I turned on a new Primal Fear for some warm-up and I hanged on it for 15 minutes suddenly having realised that there must be another battle. Cause its is top notch as well. So I turned on Decadent. I have to say that I had a very great time listening to it. All of the time I was like an unknown traveller - always on the move Decadent : pros : 1. Composition. Very good songs, fast and ballads , everything is just right. Cons : they fogot to write an aproppriate bass. One of my fave albums, Mean Machine is recorded by 2 guitars, Dieth and Supermihl. Btw, recently I read an interview telling that Peter Baltes have played bass on that album. I was like : I always heard it ! This album is another one. I am to say that I like fast guitar shredding and always wait thinking : go, Kaspery, go, Kaspery B. Good ! Yes, I mean that old track covered by Judas Priest about a great guitar player who lived deep down in Suomi, sorry, Lousiana. I like his fast “machine-guitars straffic runs” very much. So I find Decadent a little bit more faster then Steelfactory. But Steelfactory has more Accept touch, with underlined bass, more visible riff structure. So I fhink that these albums are of the same league. I give a little advantage to Steelfactory as I see something new in this album, a new movenemt, a message, not just “copy-paiste”..As all the fuitars were arranged by one man, it sounds more integral, more solid. But actually I am very close to say “deuce”.

i got my copy of Steelfactory in the mail yesterday. i listened to it on the way to work this morning and i do like nearly everything i heard on the first time through. there are a couple of exceptions but i'll save that for my review of the entire album. the one thing that still stands out to me is that the guitar work is frigging excellent. Andrey has proven that he's a master of that instrument. sure, there's no shredding by kasperi on the new album but the solo's have more substance and their own kind of awesomeness to them. i've said it before and i'll say it again, Andrey is by far the star of this album!

I would say "Steelfactory" .. but really Close. Decadent has fantastic Songs, I think there are only two (boring) fillers..."Decadent" and "Mystery" ...the rest is awesome...killers.
But Steelfactory has no fillers ... great record.
The biggest difference is the cover...Steelfactory is really great, like Steelhammer. But Decadent...no words.

I don't know I just didn't like Decadent. So it was really easy for me. I am a fan of melodic solos rather than shredding. And the title song of Decadent reminds too much TOR era and Rammstein.

It is easy for me too. Steelfactory wins. The only "not that good" song on Steelfactory for me is Keeper of My Soul, while there are more than one "strange" songs on Decadent.
By the way, if you ask me which is better of The Rise of Chaos and Steelfactory - my answer is again Steelfactory.

even though there is not a real super catchy song like "Pain" on steelfactory, i think i've already listened to steel factory more than i've listened to decadent. so steelfactory will get my vote. the guitar work is just so spectacular.
