DIRKSCHNEIDER: Announce new live DVD! In addition to their still ongoing successful "Back To The Roots" Tour, DIRKSCHNEIDER will release "LIVE – Back To The Roots - Accepted!" on August 4th (EU)/August 18th (USA) as DVD/2CD, BluRay/2CD and Gtf. Triple Vinyl in two different colors. After putting out the live double CD last year, fans were asking for a visual output, so finally, in December 2016, the show in Brno (Czech Republic) was recorded for that purpose. Besides many classics from Udo Dirkscheider's Accept era, there's a cover version of Frank Sinatra's "My Way" as bonus track on the CD and Vinyl. www.udo-online.com/ |

I hope they will release a Live record after each tour. next one shot be the Dirkschneider Tour Part II, because they plan to Play a totally diffrent setlist.
Also a recording from the Decadent Tour would be great, it was just an awesome Show. But Udo told me, that there are no plans on this. but maybe someday in the future as b-sides or the download section Comes back.

Aye, it isn't a must to buy if you don't want to have it.
I haven't bought the first one but I'd gladly buy a live stuff with only .U.D.O. stuff on that.

there are those out there that are collectors though and they have to buy everything the band puts out, so to them it may be a rip, or money grab. i used to be like that with kiss way back in the day but luckily i got over that before it got out of hand.
in this day and age though, i can also why it would be nice for bands to offer each tour on dvd. that way we could pick and choose because let's face it, some tours are just better than others.

I don't mind if they release live DVDs every year. They have the right and possibility to do that and I have the right and possibility to decide if I wanna buy those things |

The music business is about making money. If there is a demand for a product, people will buy it. You can't fault a band, a person, a company, or anything for making money if they can supply a product that is in demand. My opinion is that Udo should sell as much product as possible while he still has something to sell.

yeah, i can totally see that point of view. it just seems like a money grab sometimes by these bands, but you're right, they do need to continue to earn money or else they will go away.

hahahahaha who knows, but it's not like we can only buy one music product that day. i'm sure most fans of this music will be buying both. i probably will. i'll buy the Accept cd because i totally support mark, and i'll buy the dirkschneider dvd because both guitar players were absolutely on fire on this last tour and it's the last one with kasperi so i'll want to keep that memory.
by the way, i saw a video or two with the new guitar player and i must say that i'm not impressed at all. i know he's new so i'll give him time, but he's got some mighty big shoes to fill so he's really got to step up.

I won't buy the new ACCEPT album if it's not good. I like and support Mark but that's not enough reason. Make a good album and I buy that! If it's not good - I don't.

Times have changed. There was a time, when I would have bought everything UDO/Dirkschneider releases. Haven't bought the dvd yet. Don't know if I will bought that at all.

Probably its just about this Dirkschneaider release : update and download, there is no winnning, just insanity As for me, i tried to download blue-ray on Aug 4, but only CD was available. Looked like noone bought BD . I tried it later a couple of times but with the same result - no winning But as i saw this discussion i checked this stuff for once more - wow, a couple of guys bought the BD. So the stuff became available in different sizes. Sure, i gonna make my impression before attending the gig in October. As for opinions of fans : this Blue Ray is 2,35-1 format so its a best-you -can -get . Btw i see comments from worldwide so some people do upgrade and download, just insanity |
