What I felt watching this stuff is that mark is working and is getting into accept DNA.
The gig is great. You know, on this show Balls to the wall really have balls.

I saw the dvd yesterday. A great and fantastic show!!!
Only thing I didn´t like... poor Uwe Lulis! He can´t write songs/make solos... I don´t understand Wolf/Peter attitude about this.

it was the same with Herman. he just has to stay off the side and out of the way of "The Wolf Show". it's a shame.

if you notice, he only comes to the front and center during the same times that herman did. i think there must be some sort of rule that wolf has made that says the other guitar player is to stay out of the way until he's called on. i agree, it is a shame. i like the way Udo uses both guitarists WAAAAAAY more than the way Accept uses them. herman even said it in an interview. it's "the wolf show", what can you do?!?

Well, I'll agree that during concerts, he might consider allowing a couple of tunes with room for improv solos by the #2. However, otherwise, that's the lot of a second guitarist. What can you do? If your name isn't on the band and you're not one of the decision makers, them's the breaks.

I think that Herman Frank should make a cover of " thrown to the wolves"

By the way I don't know why Wolf does this. He didn't do this with Jörg. They always did the parallel movements together back in the golden era. But it is the same on the albums nowadays. Wolf does everything alone and there are no twin guitar attacks anymore in ACCEPT's music. That's one of my biggest pains as far as this reloaded ACCEPT goes.

I do like the way Priest handled that in songs like "Green Manalishi", where the two guitarists are trading off. Other times, like in "Turbo Lover" one will go straight into the other pretty seamlessly and only the change in tone lets you know something is different. Other times, I've seen bands do separate, then harmony, then counterpoint. It all works as long as you change it up and keep it interesting. Even just allowing Uwe to play one of the solos from time to time in the new stuff would be better than nothing.

i just don't see the point in getting a really good guitarist then planting him on the left side of the stage and tell him he can't move or play a solo unless previously approved by wolf. you can get any monkey to do that. why waste the talent?
