As I can't find the correct thread so I use this. " Blind Rage " to me is the great album. It is just a step up comparing 2previous ones. Though every album of new Accept is great and has its own tricks and original ideas , BR musically is the Acceptest album . It combines a classic feel 80s with tune of Predator album. What I really miss is Udo on vocals which can get directly to Your heart. From the other hand , Mark is very good in drive-singing now , though his screaming sometimes sound complaining. The first impression is that there are more tracks than fresh ideas on the album . But the album is surprisingly good. That's why now I think that new Accept has its own face and stands proud and tall in comparison with golden era. Those old times are gone but new Accept uses legacy much more than UDO.

this new era of Accept definitely has it's own sound and feel. to me, it's not much like the classic Accept at all. it's two different bands to me which is why i have always wished they'd use a different name. but anyway,... i like BR waaaaaaaay more than i liked stalingrad. i don't even listen to that album anymore. BOTN is such a hard act to follow because if you take The Abyss out of BOTN, it's really a perfect album. BR does come close but like i've said before, to me, it's like Mark is the only one who is really trying on this album. he is by far the shining star of this album and this era of Accept.

ok, i shouldn't say that Mark is the only one who is "trying". i am quite sure that they are all "trying". so i'll say that Mark is the one who is putting the most thought, energy, creativity, and effort into it.

Ye, they are trying so great , that they succeed !
What could be better is a number of " fillers" , musical phrases or whole tracks. So till now I find this album a step lower than legendary. I thought that it BR gotta be another RestlessNWild -but it appeared to be a combination of Prefator, Objection and Balls etc. And the album that gives restless n wild rage is " BOTN" ! Ultimate aggression ! Probably it will not return again as this spirit was the massage that was accumukated since 94 and Death Row. Another moment is that BR looks more solid that Stalingrad. Stalingrad is a combination of absolutely different tracks in different styles.
I thought that the third album of the new come back will form opinion if Accept has a real level. Or will it be just an episode like " Eat the Heat". Now it's evident that Accept is still very acceptable for years on and more.
What makes Accept as Accept? It's a Wolf 's guitar ! If Ypu here his guitar and it's not Ckassical, it's definitely Accept. So I am glad that they use the original name.
It's impossible to sing at Udo level , with his touch and meaning so another golden era is impossible without him and his influence into music . But as to me, new crew sounds like Accept for sure and it scores !

I can accept Accept using the name Accept. They did that even on Eat The Heat which was untypical "Accept" record.
Btw, I somehow get the feeling that this new Accept album is a mixture of Restless And Wild elements, Russian Roulette elements and a hint of Eat The Heat (especially the track Wanna Be Free). Those feelings come from different songs and even some different guitar riffs and melodies. But yeah, now that I am thinking I get a strong Bulletproof vibe from the song From The Ashes We Rise. Then if I am thinking of the guitar solos, the guitar solos are very well thought and composed just like was on Balls To The Wall album. There on Blind Rage there are also some AC/DC influences.
After saying that I can also see this new Accept album as a logic continuation to the Stalingrad album. I would go so far saying that there is also a stronger emphasis on the melodies. Blind Rage album is the most melodic one of Tornillo era.
The only problem for me is the production which is a little bit too sterile. That shows best on the harder songs where the production "cleans" them too much. I would like the songs like 200 Years and Bloodbath Mastermind to sound more rawer. Those are the songs that I most get the Restless And Wild album vibe from.
I like how people experience the album a little bit different from each other. However the most important thing is that people here at the UDO Fan Forum like the new Accept album alright.

At last I had time to watch the live dvd from start to finish. Stefan Kaufmann's job was sound mixing. Nothing more. Executive producer is Dave Blass. There is no overdubs or at least I didn't notice them. It's as natural as a live dvd can be.

Well, I think so. I won't think he would have mixed the sound for free. There is nothing wrong with the sound like is the case with Live in Sofia dvd.
