Hmmm... Hopefully we're not gonna read "Guess Who - Guitars" in the booklet. We all know what that would mean...

I'm a fan of Victor Smolky's work, but he doesn't fit U.D.O. I through out K.K. Downing as a joke a few months ago; I think Ken is perfectly content with designing his golf courses at this point in his life. In Vegas style, here are my picks for the new guitarist, followed by their odds of happening: 1) Andy Susehmil, 8:1 2) Matthias Dieth, 12:1 3) Jorg Fischer, 20:1 4) A previously unknown guitarist who has never played with Udo or in any other known band, 22:1 5) Stefan K in a Mastercutor/Rev-Raptor mask, 50:1 6) A known major guitarist who might have time and is plausible (e.g., Smolsky, Roland Grapow), 100:1 About those guitar players Psycho says... and the tip U.D.O. website launched to the air some weeks ago; the candidate maybe Roland Grapow... He is free now (Masterplan is not "working hard" right now, so he is focused only on producing albums in his studio and he LOVES CATS!! Remember that song in the Helloween crap album "Chamaleon" named "Crazy cat"? It was dedicated to one of his cats!!! OMG!! Maybe he is the chosen one!!

Why you all are so sure that he is he or not she? ?? Here's the answer winterdreams09; they posted this new in the Official U.D.O. Facebook: "U.D.O. are very happy to announce that the band line up is complete again. We found a new guitarist and HE fits to all requests especially that he loves cats (as Stefan and the rest are doing as well) :-)" Mhmhmhm I'll play some Sherlock Holmes... "he loves cats"... mhmhm Roland Grapow?

Remember that song in the Helloween crap album "Chamaleon" named "Crazy cat"? It was dedicated to one of his cats!!! OMG!! Maybe he is the chosen one!! I don't actually think Roland Grapow is likely. I just included him as a plausible "known" guitarist, plausible meaning that he's not already playing in multiple bands and doesn't have the potential time and isn't too famous. Mandy Meyer might be another one that fits into that category, or Jeff Loomis might be another one. None of these are likely though, which is why I gave it 100:1 odds. In contrast, implausible "known" guitarists would be guys like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, John Petrucci, Gus G, Steve Morse, etc. Then there's the when hell freezes over category of known guitarists, which would include Wolf Hoffmann ; )

you know, with everybody talking to mathias on facebook and notice that he's posting more now too, and old pics from his u.d.o. days...... he never really denies that the guitarist is him. i really do think it's him now.

We will wait and see...Mathias didn't convince me in that Wacken show though, but maybe with little practice the things could be different.

Mathias has always been my favourite and he is my favourite choice now too. It would be a dream come true if he was the man.

Wow man, he and Andy were 1000 times better than Igor and Kaufmann!! (well it is my opinion). mathias and andy - that would be a dream come true!!! uso said while the wacken-show "it still works!" my opinion was, that mathias maybe needs a bit practice on stage; in the past he was just a master of posing andy is still in the buisness and he also posted a few pics and videos on his page before the wacken show... let's see. igor in my opinion is a good rhythm guitarplayer, but not very much inspired for solos just as mathias played it in the first UDO period. for me still is FACELESS WORLD one of the best metal albums of all time and for me the best album from "music view" udo ever did incl. ACCEPT... i never thought about jörg fischer and i don't believe to see him ever again on stage with udo, but udo said in an interview, that people will be very surprised!!!! however - some fresh inspirations!!!!!

Well, to my ears I heard some difficulties with the playing, i.e. I could see/hear that he hasn't played his guitar actively all along the years. I actually never liked him as a live guitarist...but as a composer yes.
