neither of my guitarists in the country band were impressed at all with the youtube video's. but that's their opinion. i'll just wait to hear what he has to offer. Me too, guitar shredders like Andrei are tons all over the world, that's why I'm not impressed about this one and that's why I would have chosen a "known face". I just hope U.D.O. found this one (Andrei) with something positive to add to the band boost U.D.O. to reach... "No Limits" U.D.O. deserves to be back in the first line of metal scene once again!!

I myself have some contradictory opinions of Igor. He is not a bad guitarist in my mind, but not the best one either. Then again I have liked his solos in Alto Voltaggio, when playing for example AC/DC stuff. I also like some solos he has played in UDO, like the one in Man And Machine song. I also like some songs he has done in UDO.
I wasn't a fan of No Limits album. When Holy came out that album gained my respect for UDO again. I don't know if that was because of Igor, but I really liked the solos on that album. I hate the solos on No Limits album.
To me the best UDO show was on Thunderball tour. I saw the band with Graf only one time, to me that was the worst show of the band.
It is also hard to say, if Kaufmann restricted Igor's playing in UDO or not. I must say that Igor saved I Give As Good As I get song live with the solo. On album the solo is with twisted guitar sound.
When Igor has contributed the songs, they haven't been bad, like Unknown Traveller. That song is one of the highlights of second era UDO songs.

I agree with what you say Mika, I think Igor is not a bad guitar player, he made good stuff with U.D.O. as you say, "Holy" album is great and "Thunderball" kick major ass man Maybe it is because of Kaufmann's pressure over him while writing songs or soloing... maybe we all know about this in the future. I just say that his solos are not my cup of tea, I preffer Dieth, Susemihl or Graf guitar solos before him

I am wondering what Jovino might do...what I've seen he is a very good friend of Igor's.

What did I say about Igor? He was involved in too many projects and he was not a full time guitar player focused on U.D.O. I hope this new guys will can stay focused 100%; it seems they can add good vibes to the band as both ar songwriters and talented players Other way, I hope Mr. Jovino won't follow the same way as Igor, he is also involved in so many projects... Well, anyway, best wishes to Igor in his new projects as guitar player.

Maybe the right reason is that Andrey is the person they think would primaly be playing the solos. And Igor didn't like that. Well, that's my guess.

Brothers think alike. BTW, I did my best not to ask a question about Igor as well since the news about Andrey. Igor met a hard challenge and he did a solid decision . It looks like Igor won as well now.
