now meanstreet is on the spam-wagon!! i liked reading some of those reviews. there seemed to be a lot of apologizing for the "digital" sound or the "industrial" sound though. which is true. that's also the reason for my dislike of the albums. but whatever. as long as there are people who like it, i guess it's worth it to the band to do this. it's just not worth it to me to buy it. to each his own!!
thanks for those links though. it makes for good reading!

I actually was not searching for bad reviews....but meanstreet the fans have spoken and rev raptor is not well on the charts. That's more the six to eight of us who did not buy! most of the great metal albums of all time never charted and some of the worst have but if thats how you judge a album thats fine with me

Now that's funny! I guess bad albums sell while great albums sit on shelves? U.d.o. is a established band. The fact that it sold less then its predecessors show a lack of interest people who bought prior albums. Iept album since 84 otherwise it would have performed at least as good,or better

The best is sometimes over looked

the reason Dominator sold well was because Mastercutor was pretty good the reasons sales might be down with Rev-Raptor is because Dominator wasn't to good

Agree 100% when kill them all and ride the lightning came out metallica was not a established band yet. Also, yes dominator was not a great album, and I did think mastercuter was the best of the post holy albums. Listen, I really do hate to trash rev raptor. I've been a fan of accept and u.d.o. since 1985. I just want a killer album before they inevitably reretire due to age. The only way I see that happening is that rev raptor flops, they wonder why, and they look at what we are saying. John was in the thanks section, and ran the website! He was a huge fan and can get them back on track if they would only listen!

Btw not trying to single out John as a lot of the fans here are a great resource if they would take the time to read these threads!

I don't think that Udo himself reads our posts here in the forum but I do believe that our opinions reach him one way or another. Just read an interview with him in the Hungarian Metal Hammer in which he talks about the drumsound. He says all the drum machine rumors are bull$hit but he doesn't deny that they do some tricks on the drums in the studio... He says there were some added effects even on the drums of Princess of the Dawn in 1982. He also talks about the style... He says he honestly thinks that Rev-Raptor is their greatest album so far... All in all it doesn't seem like they wanna change anything...

As far as Udo concerned,RevRaptor is the greatest album that they ever produced ! I argue with him ...

I'll give another chance to U.D.O. with the future new album... hope dies last! And I hope, they can do it better! They want to do this computer stuff? I can't do anything against it, but I hope the give more classical feeling into the new album, insteed of the lot of computer sounds.
