a funny thing happened today. I had a friend listen to leatherhead on youtube. He ask me do the drum sound real to you or fake? I almost fell over laughing A totally unknown guy from Argentina friended me on FaceBook yesterday (he did it probably because he saw that our interests and fav bands were almost the same). Started to chat with him, we talked about politics, yoga, karate, stuff like that... and music. Asked him if he knew and liked .U.D.O. He answered he knew them but liked only their older albums. He said "Drumsound on latest albums is like $hit". As I said he was a totally unknown guy for me, haven't ever talked to him before and he was from the opposite corner of the universe, but our opinions were the same.

To my mind , RR is good . We fans miss times of music of almighty UDO though time goes on and on. I like what I hear on RR - not more.
But in fact its no need for brainless admiration and adore. The truth is arrangements are standard and poor, sound is not best. But some riffs and ideas definitely rule!
Mamuta, do You want to have an idol? If we are reasonable and grown-ups here, we should make true analysis.
After all- this year I got new good UDO album- a great event! Hope for a concert!

if someone think that the album is crap must leave the forum because this is the forum of U.D.O. fans so because i'm a fan, i should not be allowed to say if i think the band is going in the right direction?! i'm supposed to just accept anything and everything the band does as being right and true? i'm supposed to blindly follow like a lemming and never waver off the path or form my own opinion?! believe me dude, i am a true fan. i've been a fan of Udo's voice since i heard it for the first time in 1984. and there was a time when i thought Accept could do no wrong. but then there was eat the heat and predator. there was also i time when i thought UDO could do no wrong, but then came Man And Machine and the other albums since then. while it's true that 99.9998% of my hope is gone for the band to make another studio album that I like, i'd still go without lunch for a week to buy a UDO concert ticket. i'd still drive or fly across the country to see them play (like i did in 2000 TWICE). you want to tell me i'm not a fan of Udo's voice? i've stayed true to my conviction and my dedication to him. the b.a.n.d. is the one who decided to take this course into fake instruments and lying to the fans about it. they are the one's who decided to go into this rammstein tech-NO metal stuff they are doing now. yet i and everyone else here keeps coming back for more. why? because we're fans and we can't help it!! you don't have to cut the others down just because their opinion is different than yours. just accept it, agree to disagree to some things, but always know that we have one thing in common. all of us are here because we are fans of Udo's voice. that's the thing that makes us a worldwide family.

I'm a fan of Udo. That's a fact. No need to prove it to anyone. By the way... if all the members that don't like Rev-Raptor would leave this forum, there'd be two or three guys left.

Hahaha yeah Csaba you talked with my argentinian friend, Francisco! He's a really great and simpatic guy, I made a Pokolgép fan from him! Hahaha! When we first time talked he said he loves U.D.O. in general, but the new drum sound is c-rap for him, thats why he dosen't listening to U.D.O. anymore.

I love the live band called UDO and that's one of the reasons I am here. Somebody - a real fan - should show the band they are on the wrong track making tech-NO-metal albums. Mamuta go and listen to 2 Unlimited, they should appeal to you.

I have all the albums U.D.O has made between 1987-2009, half of the albums I have two or 3 versions, I have bought everything I've had a chance to buy during the last 10 years. I've seen the band 4 times live, once I already bought the ticket and didn't see them, cause they cancelled it. And you, Mamuta, you say that I'm not a fan.

a true U.D.O. fan would recognize the genius of Rev-Raptor Man, I've tried. I have listened to it on Spotify something like 10 times, but it just doesn't work. One part of Motor-borg is cool, but that's it. And Udo's voice is also great.

a true U.D.O. fan would recognize the genius of Rev-Raptor Referring to my last.fm profile, I listened the album around 20 times just only on my computer, and God knows how many times on my mp4 player, and after around 30 listenings I tell you the same opinion I told before.

a true U.D.O. fan would recognize the genius of Rev-Raptor What genius is on that album, the songs are just recycled versions of older songs from Thunderball to Dominator. Lap top tech-no-metal. Why do you like computer drums or drum computer. I like the real thing.
