They were pretty amazing; as I said, they even won my wife over. I went out and bought "The Art Of War" yesterday. I would have bought more but that was the only album the record store had. I'm going to order "Primo Victoria" and "Coat Of Arms" on amazon.com though.

I am glad that also other people have seen what a band Sabaton is. The live gigs are amazing and after that Priest seems like a local demo band. ;D

it's quite a let down that Sabaton wasn't the support band in the europen tour:(

ok, so i'm back home now and back to work and back to the same old grind. so i have time to type out what made any red blooded american choke up when he said this. so it was the last song of the set. and the singer was talking about how happy he was with the crowd. they'd gotten such a warm welcome and that they'd be back in the u.s. in the fall ( ). so then he asked if anyone remembered a european person with a funny little mustache and that he knows that his own country was just sitting idle while all their neighbors were getting their a$$es kicked. then he said "it took America sending over our brave young men to fight and die in battle save our a$$es from this evil. thank you. thank you so very much." guys, this is the first time i've ever heard a european person acknowledge that! oh man, i'd love to be a fly on the wall and hear him say that in france!! please just one time! chuck and i were in tears! oh what i would give to have recorded that!! we were talking about it in the car on the drive home. and realized that it's funny that he would say that while opening the show for a german band! but the whole car was crying about it. it made my son feel even more patriotic than before (i don't know how that's possible, but it did). that one speech made my whole night. it outshined everything else that happened that night. and belive me, it was a special night anyway. to get to talk to mark and peter again was so cool. but that's for a different thread and topic . i am going to purchase anything and everything Sabaton that i can get my hands on over the rest of this year. they have a new true fan now.

The same thing happened at the Seattle show but went a little further. He made this speech before "Screaming Eagles" and then mentioned that there was a serviceman in the audience. The guy then came up to the stage with a flag for his unit and Joakim (I'm not sure if I got the lead singer's name right here) waved it around with much applause from the crowd. I hope someone caught this moment on youtube. I completely agree with you on this John, and it was quite a touching moment that definitely endeared Sabaton to me.

yep, i'm a fan for life now because of that. well, that is unless they start playing electronic house music with fake instruments, but who would be stupid enough to do that?!
