please 1000-0? "I give as good as I get" is better than "Kill The Pain" with only 30 seconds of it

alright, how about 999 - 1? it's still not even close dude. u.d.o. has to man up, play their d**ned instruments, and stop relying on silly studio tricks.

"I give as good as I get" is better than "Kill The Pain" with only 30 seconds of it Although I like "I Give As I Good As I Get" from what I heard of it, IMO (emphasizing this point because everyone's opinions and tastes are their own), "Kill The Pain" smokes it with its amazing melody. "Kill The Pain" IMO is the best ballad I've heard since Dio's "As Long As It's Not About Love" from "Magica", which came out in 2000.

i was giving this some thought tonight while i was grilling up some cheeseburgers. and i think that u.d.o. and Udo himself got caught with their pants down. Udo had said no to an Accept reunion. they were starting to record another lack-luster no effort mission no. x leftover album when all of the sudden accept gets going and is recording what will turn out to be BOTN. i don't think stefan or Udo took it seriously because of those audio tracks that were released of the first rehearsals when mark had bronchitis. so they continued to just find left over ideas from the mission no. x days or maybe it was mastercutor, or dominator, or whatever-ator. it doesn't even matter because they all suck. then Accept releases BOTN which turns out to be the comeback album of the year and album of the year. stefan develops "back problems" out of nowhere again and the release of this next gem-tor album is delayed while the band scrambles to find the least suckiest of songs to replace the leftover songs that were probably really going to be on rev-raptor.
but the obvious end is that Accept's BOTN is so far above and beyond anything that u.d.o. has released this millennium. even if you took only the best songs from the u.d.o. albums since M&M, they still wouldn't amount to a hill of beans compared to BOTN. like i said in another post, i think it's time the u.d.o. boys manned up, played some real instruments, and recorded an album not only worth buying, but one worth listening to more than once before it becomes a dust magnet in the cd tray of life. u.d.o. were caught with their pants down and Accept has proven that they deserve to be on top of the heap!!

Actually UDO's guitar solos suck big time nowadays, where's the good structures, good melodies, precise guitar playing during the solos? Nowhere.

Maybe, they have no inspiration for nothing at this moment.
They need new ideasATOR, new soundATOR, a new producerATOR, new coversATOR, new humandrumsATOR...
The solution is MichaelATOR WagenerATOR!!!

Haha! Quote of the week ;D
In my opinion... there's not too much to talk about. Only the drumplaying on Blood of the Nations contains more music than all the last three albums by .U.D.O.
Just listened to Blood of the Nations today while mowing the lawn. Man I almost cried when Wolf started the solo of Beat the Bastards! There is that beautiful solo and you can hear the rhythm guitar, the bass and the drums... Everything sounds so clear and nothing is lost in a computerized hotchpotch. I felt like "Give me a horse and let's go to reconquer Jerusalem!" The music of .U.D.O. hasn't got me the same feeling since long, long years... They always say they're so f**king modern and that is why they see so many young fans in the audience. To be honest Heavy Metal - for me - is not about modernity, it's just about tradition. And guess what? Wolf says the same thing: they see lots of young fans in the audience, even though their comeback album is as traditional as it can be.

If they change music style because of the audience... that´s very dangerous. UDO want to be Rammstein... but is not Rammstein. Imagine Iron Maiden want to be Bon Jovi... people will say: "what is this???... we prefer the original Bon Jovi, not a copy". UDO would remember the ACCEPT bad experience with Eat the heat. If UDO fall and their "great new generation fans" don´t go to the shows anymore... sorry, the old fans like me won´t support your comeback to METAL music. UDO are... the DESESTERS OF ROCK (hey Samu, I´m sure you remeber the BARON ROJO song "Los desertores del Rock"

I know that most members in this forum think that Dominator sucks. I like many compositions in that album. I remember that when I listened Dominator snippets first time , I knew I would like the album. Now I've listened RR snippets and I know that the album will suck. Some says "you cannot review the album by these short clips". Sure I cannot. But those clips certainly reveal the direction. If I like the songs, I can manage with certain flaws. But now, there are even not the goods songs. What about next album? There are two options for U.D.O.: 1) Up from the ashes and back to the roots: New producer (Wagener), composing good tunes and sounds , leaving dull themes concerning album titles, lyrics and coverart+ finding some creativity. I can make better songs that RR snippets I heard And Matthias Dieth, please come back! 2) Retirement

UDO are... the DESESTERS OF ROCK (hey Samu, I´m sure you remeber the BARON ROJO song "Los desertores del Rock" Of course man, a classic from Baron Rojo and very true. I would prefer UDO playing pure Rock n Roll writing songs in the style of "I´m a Rebel" than this thing the try to play now. Their inspiration is poor, not enough to make really good and killer songs. They do the same riff, rhythm and chorus over and over again... "Rock n Roll Soldiers" is a clon of "Black and White" and this one is a clon of "I don´t wanna be like you".... Yesterday I was listening to "Animal House" and "Mean Machine" and... Oh Satan, that was pure Heavy Metal, the songs, the sound, the guitar riffs... alive songs!! The guitar speaks in Mathias Dieth´s hands... now all sound robotic and dead, like an industrial machine working... terrible!!

The problem still is: they are one of the best live bands, but the records are not good anymore.
